Enjoying Life!
Hi all,

I was wondering who would be interested in a weight loss group/contest. There are many of us that struggle with keeping our weight at a healthy level. I personally am at about 250 and would like to be at 225 and stay that way. Let me know who is interested and we will come up with some sort of prize system. Say for instance we each have a starting weight and a stated goal weight. Each participant will send the people that reach their goal some smokes, and after 6 months we can send each person that has maintained their goal more smokes. This would all have to be done in a safe manner, meaning I do not want to see people trying to lose 5-10 lbs a week when 2-4 lbs is a safe weight loss. We can help and encourage each other and let the group know what is working for you.

anyways, let me know on this thread who would be interested and we can go from there.

Count me in...I have been trying to loose about 10lb for the last 6 months. I am 180 and want to be at 165. Maybe some smokes will help me do this. I think this is a great idea!

Count me in... I'm at 240 and have been trying to get to the 200 range. I think my knees would thank me.

I'm interested too. This knot in the rope has got to go.

I'm game as well. I'm at 235 and would like to get back to about 215-220. My BP would probably go down as well. I'm in.

I'll give it a go, a little incentive never hurt,
230, would like to get to 200 or less

I am for sure in, I will not be including myself in the contest as I am having surgery. I started at 356 last June, Today I am at 319

Awesome responses fellas. Everyone is included because it is not a contest persay, but a reward system for hard work. Chris, although you are going in for surgery you will still need to work to keep your weight at the level you want. This should be fun as a support system type of thing along with some good smokes as reward. Anyone have any ideas on how to work it. I will come up with something and we should leave it open to whomever would like to join in at a later date. Lets put a start date of 3/1 with weekly weigh ins and letting people know what ou are doing. My personal plan is to start eating 6 small meals a day to get my metabolism going then implementing a workout program.

If anyone has any ideas please feel free to put them in here.

The timing on this couldn't be any better... The gym I just joined (in the same shopping center as my local B&M) is having a biggest loser contest.

What could be better?!? Workout and then a cigar.

Ohhh....that diet Coke sure is not going to go well with the cigars!

You didn't know that Single Malt has 1/2 the calories...

Ya, I think Belgum beers is going to be a hard one for me to give up for a while. Looks like a good single malt with a water back is on my list on the occasions when I partake.

Started walking today. It could have only been more fun if a dog had chased me. I hate exercise.

Anyway, I started today. Like Craig the Belgian beer is going to be the hardest thing to give up. Thankfully Bourbon is a much better friend of mine. :D

My goal is to loose 25 lbs.

I'm in too. I'm about 190 and want to drop about 25 or 30 lbs. Maybe this will help me in the motivation department.

Call me in. I am currently about 175-180. I want to get back down to 155-160. So I will say 20lbs. to lose.

Lets get to it guys. Let me know if you need ideas for healthy and good meal ideas and recipes.

I play racquetball 3-4 times a week, and have for the past 2 years and i have only lost 3-5lb. It must be all those beers i drink on Fridays, or it could just be sympathy pregnancy....
Either way, the exercise is there, but this will motivate me to eat better!

I second the sympathy pregnancy! It happened to me too. But then again, I put on a good bit of weight after I got married.

I gained about 25-30 pounds since I got married. It's all the eating leftovers from the wife that's adding my weight.

I hear you there, Brother. If I could get my wife to eat all her food, I KNOW I could loose 10lb! But of course, that means she would gain 10lb...I dont know if i could handle all that bitching....I guess I should just work on my self control!

Pretty strong words there, Brother Conner. Better hope the Mrs. doesn't read the cigar forum when you're away :D .

Count me in my fellows for I have ballooned up to about 240lbs. I want to be the same weight as in my youthful 20's which was 180lbs.
