I would like to delay this until Chris is able to join us. Will keep you posted, but I feel that we should wait for him.

Craig

I agree 100%.

I agree too; more timer for me to eat more junk food. I think I'll have french fries at lunch now.

cutting out 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee and beer will be the hard thing for me. I have been eating all the cookies in the house to make sure they are gone in time  .

Going to lowfat milk will make your coffee taste better. you will taste the coffee, not the cream.
I have been using milk in my coffee for a while and now I hate cream in my coffee. Splenda is also good in coffee.

I will not give up sugar in my coffee. I cannot stand the taste of fake sugars. I bought some of the old style coke at Costco the other day. I gotta tell ya, huge difference.

I drink my coffee black, no sweetner, no creamers, just the natural coffee tastes. Plus it doesn't take as long to fix, pour it in a mug and I'm good to go

Thanks for holding this up for me all...

I started at 310 the day of surgery. My goal is 190 and I am thinking of a year to do this in.

best of luck to all, I can't wait to start sending cigars to all of you.

Chris, welcome back!!!

Happy that you pulled thru!

Chris,
welcome back! Happy to hear your goal. We are all here for support when needed!

How about we make weigh in next Friday through Sunday? Everyone in agreement?

Okay Boys, I went to the Y this morning and weighed in. 6'4" and 241 lbs. I gained about 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks(uh). Hit the treadmill and the weights. I want to get to 225 lbs for 4/12 when I go to Orlando for a week. I probably won't do much dieting there, but I'll be running around the Amusement parks, so I'll get some exercise there. Long term goal is about 210 lbs and to keep my BP down and get off the BP medication. I'm gonna eat fish & chicken etc and fruits, vegggies and knock off the donuts and bread and get to the Y at least 4 morning s per week. I will report weight every weekend. My treat will be a nice cigar most evenings as there's no calories there(yeah!) and probably a diet coke. It's nice enough out right now to sit out on the porch with a PS2- I'm off. Good luck to everyone on their diets!!

NO :barf: !!

Sending me cigars does. I know what you're thinking...that's strange. But it works. Gotta jog to the mailbox, though. :D

Here's my weigh in info:

Current: 234

Goal: 200

So, I've actually been working on loosing some weight since the knee surgeries back in the fall. So far I've dropped 20 pounds since Sept. One of the things that's really helped is moderation. There's always candy and snacks everywhere at work. What I had been doing was snacking at every desk I'd go to. M&M's here, a mini candy bar (or 3) there. It was a never ending snack. I've limited myself to no more than a couple of pieces of candy a day. Here recently it's actually gone down to a piece of candy once or twice a week. I've also cut out all but 1 soda every couple of days. I've been drinking a whole lot of water and fruit juices and coffee in the morning.

current weight is 232, goal is 205
Plan is to make use of the treadmill, walking and cutting back on intake.

I need to get out and buy a scale this afternoon. I forgot I threw it away a while ago. One thing I know that has worked for me in the past, and I plan on startin out this way is eating six small meals a day. That way you are never hungry and it gets your metabalism going faster.

If you really want to lose weight, he's what I did.
Read all the labels and only eat foods that contain 10% or less in saturated fats and cholesterol.

I lost 18 lbs in 3 months and have kept it off for 3 years. I'm still on this diet.

My doctor offered me 2 choices: go on the diet or take pills for the high cholesterol. I choose the diet after he read a list of bad side affects of the pill.
