and don't even get me started on those photo geeks that swarm on you the minute you set foot in an amusement park

Grrrr... those people are the WORST. They drive me crazy.

Only nine hundred calls? We get almost 4000 here! Of course we have three stations, are scouting for a fourth, and half of them are probably from the homeless people under the bridge... but still! I know a lot of people who would be envious of you not having to run all the time.

i take around 150 calls a day! then again thats tech support, not firefighting

Man you guys have some funny pics! Gotta love it! Keep up the great work Cappy...You guys are a rare breed.

Regards,
Paul

Come to alameda county I belive we get over 7500 calls a MONTH!

That's the county though. I'm just talking about my town of 20,000 or so people.

And I'm talking a city of less than 8000 residents.

Check this pic out. This is my Lab Mr. Big (he is 9 months, 87 lbs in this pic) and I on a field training session. No, that is not my Bronco in the background. It is my wifes. It is a 1973, all restored. 325 hp..It is fast as hell. But I am not allowed to touch it, just ride in it.

Ya Alameda County is high population, althougn most of our call volume is Oakland... and I would have to say 50% of those calls are bullshit anyways. We have 2 ambulances staffed 7 days a week 12 hours a day just to handle 5150's and drunks... That is all they do on those 2 rigs.

I have no idea what Oakland Fire Dept call volume is like, I work for the ambulance service holding the 911 contract there.

I have some great photos of a Ambulance some kid with 2 weeks on the job crashed. He was working a double and fell asleep driving at about 80 mph... the rig was totaled, but thankfully both members of the crew walked away with out a scratch.

Ill try and find a place to host the pics and post them.

Here are some pics of my favorite smokes on top of the new Diamond Crown humidor:

Capt, I would get that Red dot away that real cigar before it ruins it.

Bob, I can help I think...in the top pic, from left to right, an Ashton Churchill, a Padron 1926 Anniversary, next appears to be a Greycliff, next is an Ashton Heritage, I'm not sure what the unbanded one is, possibly a Choix Supreme I gave him, next is an Opus X, then a Cohiba Red Dot, then a Cuban Cohiba, and last is a big Montecristo White, I think it's a Churchill size. I gave Cap the big Ashton, the Padron, and the Monte in Chicago.

The Ashton is not strong enough? Try the Ashton VSG and tell me what you think......

The VSG is a good stick. But I dont think it holds up to the VSG when it first came out. The cigar has changed over the past 7 years. They used to be even stronger. I am not sure if it is a new wrapper crop or if the cigar was just reblended.

I am thinking the ESG might just remind me of the VSG of old but we will have to wait and see.
