damn thats old. hope your not planning on smoking it.

I'm definately not going to smoke it!

Truth be told this cigar belongs to me. I took it out of the tube this morning at is feels fresh. It is dated July 1922. Honestly I might smoke it. 83 years old.

Light it up!

I used to smoke the 1920's and 21's all the time as a kid. The 1922 is a bit milder, but it satisfies.

I look forward to hearing some history on this stogie when you get it. Nice find!

Maybe you can take it to an antique dealer? They might be able to dig up some information on it

Apparently it is an old National Cigar Co. (Indiana) brand. They started in 1943, so the cigar may not be as old as you thought.

Give them a call and get the skinny.

Good news. I have been in contact with National cigar Co. in indiana that you guys sent me to. Turns out they bought the rights to the brand from a company named Moss and Lowenhapt which went out of business. The company was located in St. Louis which is where I am from and where the cigar was found in the first place where my grandparents lived. The company was in business and these cigars were fairly common in and around st. louis around that time.

Now what to do with it????? Smoke it or save it what do you guys think???

i say save it and smoke it on your death bed. if you dont get to die slowly in bed then it can go to one of your kids or somthing.

I am just worried the cigar will kill me. I will probably light it up and everyone in the room will get small pocs or something.

Save it man, who knows what that thing will taste like after all this time. :bigpuke:

Time to start a collection I figure. :p

Smoking it will only last for an eye irritating minute. I'd save it as a piece of tobacco history.

Pretty cool find Alex, I'd have to smoke it myself. I imagine with that much age it has to be pretty musty, but curiosity would get this cat.
