My new Cigar oasis XL plus in installed and running. Questions are how long will it run on batteries? Anything I should know about these things?

id recommend using the plug instead of batteries. Through personal experience and word of mouth from my friends, trying to humidify and maintain your humidor on batteries does not work at all.

IIRC, while running on batteries, it will not cycle on and off as many times as it would if it were run using the plug. Its really only for emergency use. The ribbon cable is not that hard to use. I'd suggest you use that.

It will actually work quite well on battery power, but it needs a small modification to preform correctly. If you send it to me, I would be happy to complete the mod. Just send the unit and 1/2 dozen sticks for testing. PM me for my address.

(Please note, the modification time varies and can be as long as 5 years. Cigars will be ruined in the process and won't be returned.)

Selling mine, nothing wrong with it I just decided to use the beads. No ugly cords hanging out, plus it leaves more room for sticks!!
