Just got back from smoking. I haven't had a diploma in a while so I thought I'd pay a visit to an old friend....my god...I am still sweating and hunching in my chair.....Only thing that's missing is a cold drink, pool, and the sun beating down on me.....

the power of Diploma.....ahhh

Ok Smoka, I have the only Diploma I ever bought still sitting in the humi resting.
I had a RP Edge the other night. Stronger?
The Diploma's are at the top of my price range, will be a special occasion smoke for me.

The Diploma's for me are one of the most in your face, full flavored and complex cigars I have smoked.

Personally, I don't think the edge compares, to me, it is a one dimensional cigar without a lot of changes. Good smoke, just very different and nearly as full bodied or full flavored as the Diploma.

For my personal taste, the Edge is too simple in character. But yes, the diploma if much fuller than the RP Edge

The older Edges are indeed weaker and less flavorful but the new Edge maduro missles have more kick than the diplomas. At least to my palate-in-training.

Im with quagmire on the kick, especially with the corojo. However, I am in full agreement with smoka that I found the cigar to be very one dimensional and lacking in complexity. All balls and no... well you get the idea

Same here, I almost brought some to NY with me but then I thought twice about it. I knew that if somebody got a hold of one they would be bugging me to get more.

Thanks Guys, You've just given me some insight on complexity that I've really not been looking at, being the novice that I am.

Definitely something to be examining this weekend.

No compare on the cost difference though.

Axe,

Also, diplomas dont travel very well. If ind that if the take any type of vacation out of the humidor for longer then a day they get sick and dry out quickly.

The cigar reminds me of a girl I used to date. She was great but so high maintnance. If I set her off it would take me a week to get back in her good graces but the good times in her good graces made it all worth while.

Take care of a diploma and a diploma will take care of you. These babies are twice as good with lots of patience and TLC.

You too huh?

ah, I remember the days of a high maintenance girl.....
When I have a high maintenance cigar, I get rid of it....

  8)

Thanks Capt. Those are my girls. The one on the right is Brooke my fiance and the one on the left is Tiffany her best friend. They went as red bull angels for halloween last year.
