Forbidden X

Has anyone smoked one of these? I have two in my humidor, but I don't think I'll ever smoke them. It seems like more of a collectable that a smokable cigar.

These are going to be for sale again this month in a 4 pack by prometheus for 150.00
Please let us know when.

I'd be down for a split on the 4 pack with another person. *discuss*

I think one of the times to smoke one is when Devil Dog gets back and we all do our tribute to the troops. That is when I am smoking mine.

Ok I got to ask here. It is my understanding that a cigar is only good for so long. So how long do you hold it for?

My local tobacconist has smoked two of these. The first he said was simply one of the finest cigars he has ever smoked. The other about two weeks later gave him some horrible burn issues.

Travis if kept at the right humidity you can keep cigars for almost indefinitely. Typically it is believed that they get better with age. However, some claim that just like wine that have a peak moment and after they peak the flavor just get's flat. That is debatable.

All the best,
Jackie

In my reading I have seen in more then one place that after storing for a certian amount of time cigars lose all flavor? Most also said that the time this takes is not a givin. Many have also talked about the peaking of flavors.

The wrapper on the platinums comes from the same plant they use for the new Ashton ESG wrapper.

As long as you want to if it's in the humidor. Plus, it's in a glass tube which has humidity in it as well.

It went for 40 bucks, I would say that wasn't a bad price.

I've smoked 3 or 4 of them over the past couple of years and it's a great smoke. It reminds me of a well-aged Opus in taste, and the burn was nearly perfect each time. I'd smoke them more often if it wasn't for their price.

And like Cloudy, I need to pick up one of those Cigar in the Bottle...if and when I find one.

Alex was the forbidden boxed staged as in it was a couple of empty coffins stuck in a box? I found it interesting that it said 2005 uno, 2004 dos, 2004 dos, 2005 tres. Shouldn't it say uno, dos, tres, quatro?
