yes it still counts doc, the player can play in any position on your team that he plays in real life

i cant figure it out, my team is pretty stacked and i cant get up...this league is so heavily weighted on pitching scoring, that if you dont have someone pitching one day, your in bad shape

Just post your questions - it's a friendly league - we'll all give our 2 cents worth. It took me a while to catch on with this style (rotisserie) versus playing head to head. Anything you aren't sure of just post it.

I've been doing good until my PC went out. I have no PC over the weekend, which is why you guys are catching up to me. I set up my team, then come back today to find my players either threw a shoulder out or have the flu. What timing!
I learned from the beginning, by watching what you guys were trading. Then I figured out what the ^ (carot symbol) meant for the SP. Then I try to follow the player's stats, and try to make heads and tails from all those numbers. Watch their trend, compare them to the '05 and '04 season. But more of my pickings come from their uniform design and colors. If they got some nice jerseys, they're a sure bet to win.

i think if we play next year, we have to change some of the rules...one being unlimited trades...we should put a max # out there or a deadline...imo its not really fair that people just continuosly add/remove pitchers everyday based on who's starting or not...after a while, once you have your squad thats the squad you should have to live/die with...as in real life
yea but if you continuosly are adding pitchers you are gonna be in trouble. there is a maximun amount of games per position and a max innings pitched. once you reach these you no longer get any more points. so you need quality not quanity. ck at the bottom of your team page for the link for your max and see if you are plus or minus.
Jeff is right - you have to watch the max innings to make sure.
One suggestion next year would be to put a waiver period for free agents. Once they are released they can't be signed for 3 days and if 2 or more folks try to sign him - the person with the higher priority (which rotates depending on if you make a move) gets the free agent.
Either way - this is all for fun and I am having fun. Nice to see T struttin' right now.

whats the "waiver" mean? as in, it says my waiver is 1, what does that mean? is that just the order we draft next year?

The waiver number is the priority that you have when players are released - I touched on this earlier.
In a lot of leagues if you drop a player - he is untouchable for 3 days. During that time you can put in to grab the player (he is on waivers). If two or more folks put in at the same time - the person with the lower priority number gets him. For example, if you had 1 and the other person had 6 as his number, you would be awarded that player.
