Ok, here's my question:
Recently at work, an incident occurred during the manufacturing process of one of our products. The product was damaged by nicking the metal plating, which exposes the second layer of plating. The exposure of this metal is unacceptable in our space product. In 0 gravity (vacuum), the metal may oxidize (yes, even in space), which may create debris. Debris is a known factor for many failures in space products.
There are 3 layers of different metal plating on the base metal (aluminum).
Plating 1 > Plating 2 > Plating 3 > Aluminum base
Plating 2 is exposed.
What metal is this Plating 2 made of?

I am soooo glad it was not the SSR. Never understood that vehicle. It's ugly as hell and you can get a Vette for the same cash.
