2000 is the maximum # that can be submitted...fiancee used to work for JD and he submits the max allowed each election...that said, neither she nor some other people i've asked have heard of a "rule of thumb" with regards to a generally accepted "safe" number...jd does the max so if someone does challenge 1000 of em, he still meets the minimum...ill do some more diggin to see what this other # might be...i love poli questions :wink:

The number I was looking for on the 2nd part was 1300. A buddy of mine who is a political sort is working on some campaign and had mentioned that as the number they needed. I don't know if he was correct, but like I say that was what I heard.
