Ok wisenheimer,....
Don't forget I have YOUR addy now...

mmmuuuuwwaaaahhahhhahhhahhahhhaaaa

OK, here it is.

I have a little riddle it's been one that I heard when I was a kid once on a camping trip. I solved it then and it has been one of my favorites ever since.

It should be easy, remember I was about 10 or 11 when I solved it!

Who is the other?

Good luck!

his own son.

If it is his son, then "That man's father" is himself, who is indeed "my father's son"

Crap, I didn't think ahead on this one! Now I have to come up with a question!

Hmmm let's see...

Shall I do another logic puzzle? I'll try to have something up before the afternoon is out.

Shoot yeah, I like!

I know I didn't get the puzzle up yesterday, my a/c broke and the alternator on my car went out. Still dealing with it all, but I will get this up as soon as I can!

OK-

While fixing my A/C, I picked up a piece of HVAC trivia. The first person who can tell me where the term "ton" comes from (as a measure of A/C cooling capacity) will win this challenge.

I hope this isn't too terribly simple for someone with a little A/C background. My old roommate just finished an HVAC class, and provided me with this little tidbit.

Good Luck.

TON OF REFRIGERATION - The amount of heat necessary to completely melt one ton of 320F ice in 24 hours. 200 BTUs per minute, 12,000 BTUs per hour, 288,000 BTUs in 24 hours. This is based on the latent heat of fusion for ice which is 144 BTUs per pound.

I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for or not, but it is really interesting

I thought "ton" came from the Middle English word "tun" which in turn came from the Celtic word "tunne"? :p

The ice bit was what I was after. My buddy said the unit was created to make equivalency to old systems which actually did use ice to cool buildings.

dejoro- you're the man; PM me your info!

Sweeet! Soupwell, PM sent.

I will be posting a question before the night's out.
The subject will be .......

MOVIE TRIVIA!

As soon as I think of one, that is.

Just knowin' how to find stuff on the internet, jesse, that's all.
