Ok, here's the question. As I said, the subject is Movie Trivia and this one shouldn't be that hard:

What 2 different actors have each won an academy award for playing the same character in different movies.

:?: :?: :?: :?:

Marlon Brando and Robert DeNiro for playing Don Vito Corleone?

Cloudy, you are correct!! I already have you addy and will get your package out today.

Congratulations!!!

Actually, my g/f is correct, lol. I was sitting at the comp and asked her that question, she did some google work and voila! Pity that she doesn't smoke cigars huh? I will gladly indulge in her prize though and make sure to do something special for her.

Dunno what my question is just yet but I have a feeling that it will be literary in nature, will post it soon.

Thanks dejoro, looking forward to your package.

My question is as follows:

In Thomas Pynchon's novels, V. and Gravity's Rainbow the same amoral military figure appears in a minor role. Name him.

As a bonus clue, one of his family members also makes an appearance in Pynchon's novel: Mason & Dixon.

Good luck.

Heres another clue.

Google.

Actually...This character (and he is a character in the truest sense) makes an appearance in another Pynchon work, the collection of short stories titled Slow Learner, specifically in the story, The Low Lands.

Pig Bodine it is. Congratulations UnkaMikey, PM me your details and I will get something in the mail for you.

From http://www.pynchon.pomona.edu...

On a lighter note, the author is pleased to point out that "Low-Lands" features the first appearance of Pig Bodine, whom the story was originally supposed to be about. Pynchon describes how Pig's character was actually based upon an infamous member of the Navy at the same time as Pynchon himself. In fact, Bodine's abduction of Flange during the latter's wedding reception was a true story the author heard from one of his senior patrol members. Pynchon finally states that it is because of these occurrences, among other factors, that Pig Bodine has managed to show up again in later novels

The worst part of winning one of these games is having to come up with another one. I'll probably post something weak, silly and easy to guess on Saturday. Busy night ahead.

*think think think*

As advertised, this will be weak, silly and easily guessed, so get your "duh, that was easy" caps on!

Regarding the actress who portrays Chloe O'Brien on "24":

Answer all three questions to win.

1. What is the actress' name?

2. What comedy show did she appear in from 1996 to 1998?

3. What was her character's name on said comedy?

Gotta love Wikipedia. Assuming that information's correct, I need to get to work smoking some cigars. We're going to be playing a game called "Know Your Butts", and I don't have quite enough butts yet.

Congrats, Zandor, PM me your specifics and I'll have something on the way to you.

Toldya it'd be easy.

Woohoo! Ok everyone. Time to start studying and getting ready to play "Know Your Butts". Sometime tomorrow (probably... I need 3 more or so for this) I'll be posting some pictures of cigar butts along with a list of names. The object will be to match the picture to the name of the cigar in the picture. Of course, they won't have bands anymore and, having been burned already, you won't really be able to tell how long they were originally. So you'll have to guess based on wrapper color and ring gauge.
