going under the knife

Just talked to Chris a few minutes ago - he is sore and exhausted but he is on the mend. They pulled the tube out of his throat this morning so he is relieved.

Last update of the day - spoke again with Chris - he is a little loopy (yeah, I know - how do you tell?) but he is getting better everytime I check on him. If all goes well, he will be out of the hospital tomorrow.

More great news. Thanks for keeping us updated.

I'm glad that these are positive updates! I have relayed everybody's thoughts and prayers to him and expect him to be on the forum in the next few days (with his usual misspellings.)

well I am back at it, Kind of.

the problem was when the went inside to do the bypass, my Bowels were fowled from cancer surgery many years ago. they were tangled with scar tissue to my AORTA! Not the place you want mistakes. most surgeon's would of called it quits at that point or at least open my up. Not mine he very patiently removed all scar tissue so he could complete the surgery in a safe manner. it just took twice as long.

Next step was when they gave me one of the meds I developed a anaphylactic shock. The problem is I was in recovery when this was happening and not able to tell anyone. I got a second dose. Luckily when the third one was coming I was able to motion NO. and they got my doctor and I was able to explain enough that something was not right. I just spent a day that my heart rate kept going so Low, down to 43 beats a minute.

But all is well that ends well. I am ok now, just quite sore. we started out that my wife was not going to be there cause of the kids, but with all that was going on she could not stay at home, It was a nice surprise cause I was quite scared myself.

thanks for all the well wishers! I really appreciate it more than you all know.
