I'm going to start this off with a little story so you all know my predicament. This morning I was psyched to start off my work day with a La Gloria Cubana which would have been my first. When I was ready to light up, I could immediately tell that this stick wasn't going to work. I took it out of the tube (not a tubo, just an old tube for protection while in my pocket) and heard an audible crunch. With curiousity I closely examined the cigar to find that it was bone dry. Knowing it was then trash I decided to see just how dry it really was. I gently bent it in the middle and it quite literally went up in a puff of dust and flakes. Fantastic. When I got home and checked the rest I found that the non cellophaned cigars were toast (only a few but a small tragedy nonetheless) and the the boxed and cellophaned sticks were dry but not to the point of cracking or anything. I immediately went out and got a hygrometer (yeah I know I should have had one in there--I was just using the refrigerator for temp control) and found it is at 37% RH!!!!! My problem gets worse though, the cigar oasis I ordered won't be here for at least another week! What can I do to save my remaining cigars?!?!? Somebody, anybody help me!
