how old are you?

46, been smoking cigars a little over 20 years, started smoking tiparillos then graduated to Antonio y Cleopatras, then about 15 years ago a guy in a bar in downtown Grand Rapids gave me an Ashton Churchill, never went back to machine made short fillers. Happy Huffing.

18-- have been into cigars for about 1.5 years. Most have been money saving mistakes thus far!

I'm 53 and have been smoking cigars regularly for the last 10 years; about the same time that I got married and began looting my father-in-law's humidor.

I'm 28 but look and act (and feel) younger. I'm not used to being one of the older ones...

I started on macanudos at age 18, stopped for a while after college and started up again last year as part of my rebelling against suburban motherhood.

:D I am picturing a PTA meeting where all the moms are smoking cigars.
What do you smoke now?

21, as I said before. I started dabbling in cigars when I was 17 with some friends. Smoked mostly CAO flavours until my boyfriend an I really took a serious interest in it. And the rest as they say is history.
Still trying to get my dad in on cigars. He really likes Maker's Mark whiskey so I think if I get myself a Maker's Mark cigar, I can reel him in!

Hey, I'd be a much happier woman if I could find some other cigar-smoking mommas around here.

When my OB asked if I'd been having any weird cravings, she thought I was insane when I said I just wanted a good cigar (hold the pickles).

I'm still playing the cigar field a bit to find stuff I like, and I do go back to Macanudos from on occasion, but now I tend to like CAO cameroons and Oliva and a Fuente now and then. I like the maduro style alot. I'm still a relative newbie, so let me know if you have any recommendations.

man, only on the internet will you find two women that can apreciate a good cigar in the same place. most of my freinds are married or have serious girl freinds, the ones that dont dont smoke cigars for some dumb reason lol. only one freinds wife doesnt have a problem with cigars but he is also kindof whipped so unless she tells him to smoke one with me he wont do it!

Romeo y Julieta has a great Maduro. They're kind of becoming my thing. I've got a couple of CAO MX2 I'm getting ready to light up and I hear good things. Macanudos aren't too bad. I could preach all day long on the greatness of La Aurora 100 Anos. Very good. I like to branch off to some Drew Estate stuff on occassion.

Thanks Cobsgirl. Since I don't get to smoke all too often its nice to have some recommendations rather than just flying blind. I'll definitely have to try an MX2.

I had a bad experience with a Drew Ambrosia. It tasted like it was just soaked in sugar for a year. It smelled pretty good--just made me wish I wasn't the one smoking it.

BTW, I'm kind of in the opposite boat as most men. My husband tolerates cigars, as long as my son (not even 2 yrs old) isn't around to see and I'm outside. I love him, but I wish he had the same vices I did. But then I might have to share my stash...

I had the same experience with a cigar, I can't remember the name of it now but I know the sugar soaked taste. I'd rather have just stuck it in my mouth and tasted it rather than lighting it up. I hate that overly sweet sticky taste some of those leave on your lips. Do you drink anything with your cigars in particular?

i totally love ryj's
cant miss with any of their lines, but i usually stick with the 1875s
just perfect

Yes, the Dominican Romeo y Julieta in my opinion is one of the great Non-Cubans, and a real "sleeper" cigar. Many people see the name and tend to gloss over them because it's the "Non-Cuban" RyJ but they make a fine line of cigars. Of the ones I've had, I like the "regular" or "1875" version the best.

Another thing that blows me away in a sort of frightening way, . . .

I'm not only our Resident Dumb(e) Blond(e), but I'm also one of the OLDEST folks around here.

:eek:mg: :flush: :eek:mg:

:help: :help: :? :grumble:

Hey Folks! I'm new to the forum and loving everything about it so far. I've been lurking for a few weeks, and decided to post yesterday. I'm 31 and my wife is 27, both of us enjoy a good cigar. I started smoking when I was 15 and enjoyed a cigar while fishing or camping. After giving up the cigarettes last year, I was able to really enjoy smoking a good cigar. I've spent allot of time in the carribbean, and have enjoyed many of the fruits of cuba, spurring my quest for a non cuban to enjoy regularly. The forum is a fantastic place for suggestions, and I'm looking Forward to the next box pass. Anyone from the DC metro area that wants to get together for a social night, please let us know!
