Jazz and Dori would bark but not bite. Eli, on the other hand, is just a few months away from being where I want him to be as a personal protection dog. He is stable though and would not bite unless commanded or threatened. My youngest boy uses him as a pillow when he's watching TV.

He's always been on good terms with our rural rout mail lady. The Ala Power guy though...now thats a different story. lol!

For the most part, dogs don't hate mailmen. They learned early on to protect their home, by barking. Turns out, everytime they bark at the mail man, he leaves! My guess would be that over time, the dog stops worrying about every visitor to the house, especially ones that you greet, talk to, etc. But that mail man keeps showing up when you aren't paying attention, the dog barks, and he takes off. Must be doing his job! Good boy! - He probably learned to reconize that uniform as part of his conditioned response to scare away that person.

By the way, I've probably said it before, but I love this thread, and I'm glad it's going strong. The people and backdrops, the experiences they talk of relating to the pictures, it's allllll good. It's wonderful. Keep it coming.

I may be purchasing a digital camera soon, and it's possible that I'll be posting pictures of Maxine Bacon, The Original Virginia Ham, Ever The Happy Hippo Cat and the Burmese Python on the Pets Forum, but I'm afraid there'll be no Bloof pictures.

You see, I'm 1/32 Transylvanian, and that gets me in under the wire so to speak. We just don't come out in pictures. Sometimes, most of the time in fact with me, the camera just explodes and people go running for cover. As a matter of fact, people go running for cover when they see me anyway.

Oh well, just thought I wanted y'all t'know how great this thread is.
