Hey everyone,
I've been visiting these forums every so often for several months now and I finally decided to sign up. I'm from Toronto and I love fine drink with an even finer cigar =D. Anyways, my history with cigars goes back to when I was 15 (I turn 20 this year) in highschool where I did a report on the tobacco plant and its industry. Well, I asked my parents to help purchase two cigars for me to use as examples for the presentation (I asked them to get me two Cubans, a Punch and a Hoyo de Monterrey). Well, turns out I didn't use the cigars in my presentation and I ended up just smoking them =D. (I actually never planned to use them in the report. I just wanted to smoke them haha yes, I'm sneaky) Well, since then, I've been an avid cigar smoker and don't plan to stop any time soon haha.
As for my current favorite, I love the Gran Habano Gran Robusto #5. Past favorites have been from Padron (I love the Padron 3000's and anything from their Anniversary line mmm). I also get nostalgic when it comes to cuban Punch and Hoyo de Monterrey stogies. Basically, I love maduros, corojos, and rosados after dinner; in the afternoon, I smoke naturals.
There are many, many cigars on my personal line up that I'd love to try but there's the problem of funds (after all, I AM a university student). Also, they jack up the price for cigars in Canada, which is really unfortunate for cigar lover =\ Basically, the cost to purchase a cigar in Toronto is three times that of the same cigar purchased in the USA. Yup, though we have access to Cubans, we are also completely overcharged for our stogies. Personally, I think Cubans are overrated anyways.
Anyways, I hope to know you all better and I'm glad to be a part of this cigar lovin' community =)
