Hey All ! !

My Name is Mike and I am 35 years old.
I have been smoking stogies for 14 years..
I have just recently started keeping them at home in a Humidor..
I live in Greensboro, NC and I moved here from Brooklyn, NY..
When I lived in NY I would go to cigar bars and smoke after work for some me time..
Since I moved to North Kakalakee, I can't do this..
So I decided to buy a humidor and keep some of my favorite cigars to smoke...

My Favorite smokes are Cohiba Corona's, Don Diego Corona's and Montecristo #3's....

Hope everyone has a GREAT Day and Happy Smoking

Welcome Guys!!! Glad to have you around!!

What Suburbs Bingo?

Hi Everybody.
I'm 26 and from the Hudson Valley, Middletown specifically, origionally from Iowa. I got started smoking cigars earlier this year, a habit that kicked into high gear after recieving some very generous cigar realted wedding gifts. My special occasion treat has now officially become a favorite hobby as my cigar collection recently expanded to it's first cabinet humidor. I'm still discovering what brands I like but a few personal favorites thus far are the Hemmingways, onyx reserve, ashton vsg, carlos torano 1916. One interesting cigar related story I have. My grandfather who passed away last year bought a box of Cuban cigars back in 1981 prior to the Eagles first super bowl appearance, deciding not to open them until the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Now 24 years later I've inherited the box and plan on keeping to his decision of waiting until the Eagles finally win. So yes I will probably be passing it down unopened to a grandson of my own some day. I have no idea what condition the cigars are in at this point, I know he kept the box in a humidor for all that time.

Anyway, I've been reading the forum for a couple of weeks, great community and interesting discussions here, I'm glad I found it. And to start off thank you all for contributing to this board and vastly increasing my cigar knowledge as I read through the posts.

Glad to have you, Great story with the Cubans from 81!!

Watch out though, I'm sure there are some people around here that would love to take those from you!! (CC --that means you especially)

Welcome!!

I’m Matt, from Orlando. Been smoking cigars for a bout 7 years. Never been able to make a top list that doesn’t get changed daily, but always have Gurkhas in the rotation.

Lot forward to joining in on a few threads and learn more as I read on.

Thanks!

Good call. I've got some Gurkha's for special occassions. La Aurora and RyJ Maduro have the tie for #1 in my list.

Welcome Bender!!

There is plenty to learn around here

Hello to all. My name is Justin. Been smoking sticks for about a month now. Started while on vacation following the Cubs in San Diego. Great cigar community there with cigar lounges with onsite rollers. I suggest the trip for all. Since I've only been smoking a month now I don't really have any clear favorites but the new drew estate Sauza tequila cigar will probably be my first box--DELICIOUS!!!! Hard not to eat the thing. And for those wonderering its not the least bit flavored in my opinion, the tequila just gives it some extra tones. I also have come to quite enjoy gurkha master selects as well as one that macallan will be pleased to hear is another's top choice--diplomas. I have in fact become so caught up in this passion i have already purchased the supplies for a frigidor--many thanks to the people how have posted on the subject. Hope to contribute and learn all I can to and from this forum.

Quagmire: Oh, Lois, I'd do everything to you.
Lois: What?
Quagmire: I'd do anything for you.

Another Diploma-head...welcome!

Thank you. Normally I wouldn't go for a cigar that size but I'm glad I trusted in Macallan now. Only problem now is that the real cigar retailers aren't close enough to feed my growing obsession. Good thing cigar.com exists.

welcome, good to know there is another future coolerdor/frididor owner. Those Sauza cigars are pretty darn good for a "flavored" cigar. I put one in the box pass and it got a decent review if i remember correctly.
