It's an (infinite) convergent geometric series with a = 4 and r = 1/(root 2). The answer is 13.657.

I don't have a problem with some of it like DD's avatar post. As long as its there and you just have to find it. Anagrams and ciphers take it too far IMHO.
I understand the argument for fun and things to keep it interesting, but the fact that some people don't speak spanish or hold degrees in physics should just be kept in mind.

I may have inadvertently started this by "complaining" about soupwell's math solution. I wasn't actually complaining, just trying to poke fun at myself (showing my absolute ignorance in all things not having to do with pulling a trigger or moving a brush.)
I thought soupwell's solution was ingenious, there was no way on God's green earth I could solve it, but it was a good go.
