belgian block comes from Belgium...it is roughly 9" x 6" x 4"
and was used as ballast for the old sailing frigates that came over from europe.
They dumped the block here and took stuff back with them. Most old port cities here have belgian block roads....the stuff wears like iron...and weighs as much as freakin lead...well not quite but almost...I'm building a patio out back near the pool...

isn't that intersting?

DOH - for once I catch it right when someone asks, but I think I should sit this one out since I just mooched a few weeks ago...

That's awesome - how big of a patio can you build with that much block? and when you say 220 belgian block, do you mean 220 individual 9x6x4 blocks?

yes 220 individual blocks...want to help carry them..LOL.... :lol:

not sure what I'm doing yet...might use them for a short wall around the area above the pool and omni stone the floor pad.
I'm terracing the area...will think on it this winter....

poor phish....he's in with the bobs and the question is hanging.... :(

Heh - I think he had pulled a fake bathroom emergency to get out of the meeting and check the board - looks like he got in

I'm going to make one of my brothers work!
They are over in the clinton area. Will be making a few trips this week.
 
The Bobs were late and I had one last chance to check my email for an update an low and behold, a request unanswered. Thanks for letting me in Cybrus.
 
No problem phish - I'd feel bad if I jumped in again so soon - besides, I snuck my last one out from under DevilDog and if I did that again...well lets just say I don't want to do that again.
