What's wrong with the digi-cammies? Do they feel different or you just don't like the look?

I CAN'T STAND the way they look!
They're very comfortable but they just look dumpy.

I miss taking the time to press my uniform and spit shine my boots.
There's a certain "pride" you have when you take the time to look good in uniform. It sets you apart from the sh*tbags who don't give a damn.
Now everybody looks the same.

No better feelin that struttin your stuff in a sharp uniform in front of someone with a uniform that looks like a bag of ass.

I don't like the digital bdus either but have seen the Marine field trial experiments and they perform phenomenally better at camoflauging one's sillouette--what first draws a spotter's attention.

I agree. In the field they're excellent and I wouldn't trade them.
I still think they look like sh*t!

And so does every other Marine that's been in longer than 4 years!

Well...the Navy white tuxedo suit is pretty damn sharp...Dad was an EWT E7 in the Navy when he retired..his brown uniform blew giant testicles. The bell bottoms, blue shirt, and white hat are better looking than that lol.

Aaahhh...........the doughboy uniform!

Haha...I love hearing the Navy get ragged on, I always pass em on to the old man, he gets a laugh. My parents always are back and forth with the jokes (dad did 20 EAD in the the navy, and mom 20 EAD in the army). Army/Navy football game is the hottest thing since sliced bread in my house, its funny.

Here's a joke you can tell him:

Did you hear about the 40 sailors that went to sea?
20 couples came back.

Or this one:

Did you know that a SQUID is the lowest form of MARINE life!?

I agree with ya Devil. I got out in January of 2004, in September 2003 when I came back from Iraq, they MADE me buy 1 pair of the digital cammies, and drive to Pendelton as Miramar had none! I was so p*ssed that I had to buy that crap 2 months before I went on Terminal Leave. Anyways, last year, I had to check into HQ Marine Corps in NJ for the inactive reserve. They made me trade in 4 pairs of normal cammies for that .com cammies. Can ya believe that??

That sucks, brother.
Luckily for me I was an instructor at SOI in 2002 so whenever we had a legal drop or a Marine that when UA, we had to inventory their stuff. So as you can imagine, some things weren't accounted for, if you know what I mean.

I now have 6 pairs of green and 4 of desert.

I've always been partial to the old VN tigerstripe. Doesn't work as well as the others, but has a great agressive look.

My Dad was in the navy in the early 50s. Loved the look of those early dress blues.

The version I heard was 41 sailors went down in a submarine, 20 couples and one prize-fighter came up.
