Plowing snow, fun wasn't had by all.

We got dumped on last night (10"), so I had my work cut out for me today. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so darned cold out.

I have an old '68 International Cub Cadet, that got quite the work out. My Grandad bought it new in '69, and got every attachment except the snow blower. What I would have given for the blower attachment this morning.

As it was, it took my just over 2 hours with the plow. That doesn't even account for the time I spent digging the tractor out after I got it stuck.
Since the snow season started early this year, I have look forward to several more months of this. Wooop!

Am I the only northerner here who didn't get snow this week? All we got was a lousy half inch. Not enough to ski in, not enough to really shovel, just enough to mess up the roads and make the lawns pretty.

And....it is supposed to be warm for the next couple of days so it will all probably just go away. What fun is that????

A lot more fun than where I am. I almost took out two signs including one of those lighted bank style ones. Plus I got rearended in a hit and run. My car is on its last legs anyway so I don't care but still...

LOL!! We only got 3 inches up at the condo, but when I got back home, we had about 7 inches. I love it!!

Well Capt.
If I could get UPS to ship it, I would send you all mine.

Everytime we get snow it means more work for me.
Even when I was little, I always got rooked in to shoveling snow.
I take no pleasure in snow what so ever.

Went off into a ditch tonight. I had to call a tow truck to get me out as everybody else in a four wheel drive was apparently too busy to help out a fellow motorist. Their loss, I'm a good tipper too. Ended up costing 75 bucks just to pull me out. And I reinjured my back and am now pretty much laid up.

Call Dr. Bloofington, I hear he gives out a good script for cigars and scotch!!

By the way Quag, hope you feel better. Rocky Patel might have a fourth quarter loss if you can't smoke!!!

Despite the 8-9" we got up here in Sussex County - our company party went off without a hitch. I celebrated the end of the evening with a Cuban Siglo II. It was a little chilly - but nice and quiet and a great smoke.

Quag, I feel for you brother. There is nothing worse than getting rear ended by another motorist who doesn't know how to drive when it gets a little icy.

Like I predicted most of our snow is gone now, replaced by a nice layer of frozen water (thats ice to you southerners) all over the sidewalks. The hospitals will be busy this weekend!!

Well, I wish it would have snowed this past Wednesday is San Francisco...at least the idiot who rear ended my friend and I would have had a valid excuse. "My glasses fell off so I bent down to pick them up going 45mph on a busy city street"... :duh:

I do however look forward to going back home to San Diego for Christmas, snow is less than an hour's drive away.

The news said that Louisville was gonna get a buttload of snow the other night? KY weatherman suck!

Actually, it only put a dent in the bumper. Plus it was half my fault. But at least I stopped.

We are supposed to get 6 to 8 more inches either tonight, or tomorrow.

Snow can be fun, but it can also be a pain in the butt. I sure do enjoy my winter sports, but now owning a motorcycle again, I find myself liking the warmer weather more and more. I just don't like it much over 80 degrees. Brenda, anytime you want to experience snow, you are more than welcome to come to Michigan. In fact with Michigan weather, we might have snow for my June sit-down!! lol
