I just got back from a couple smokeshops that a coworker suggested and thought I'd post my most recent acquisitions. I don't know if its in bad form but thought that if you guys (and girls) posted your newest additions it might be kind of fun. Anyways, here goes:

Padron 1964 Anniversario Imperial Maduro
Fuente Maduro Best Seller
Cohiba Red Dot Corona
CAO Extreme Tubo
CAO MX2 Belicoso
Rocky Patel Edge Maduro Missile (Tasty by the way--I couldn't wait)
Perdomo Edicion De Silvio Torpedo (Nice bloom on it too)

I saw that Perdomo and could not resist--I need a special occasion for that one though as 24.99 is a hell of a lot of money for a stick. However I'm glad I picked it up here and not where I last saw them in San Diego at 50 a pop.

Nice pick ups! San Diego prices are embarrassing...but what's worse are the people willing to pay these prices. There is a shop in Seaport Village whose prices nearly gave me a stroke

As for my pick ups today:

Opus X "A"
Hemingway Work of Art maduro
Añejo 55 from 2002
Añejo 77 from 2002
Between the Lines
I have a friend back east who owed me a favor, otherwise I shudder to think what these would have cost me locally.

hey man, where do you live that you go to spring hill mall? im from carpentersville!
the tinder box is sweet, i go there all the time
is it possible that i know you?

Seaport Village was the mecca for stupid people when I was there, so I wouldn't be surprised if the place you went to makes a killing. All in all I spent close to a hundred bucks, but lighting those up I figure will make the time at work earning the money worthwhile.

Shake, I live in McHenry so I doubt I know you. But as a fellow smoker from the area, maybe I'll see you some time at an event. As nice as the tinderbox was though, I don't think I'll go there anymore. The owners are great but their selection is too limited for me. I suggest if you're ever in Algonquin, you check out this one place on 31 a little ways past the Texan BBQ. I think its called the house of tobacco. HUGE humidor--bigger than my bedroom. Everything you can think of including boxes of opus x and perdomos.

if it sounds like work is unbearable for me...well its boring sometimes but that just gives me an excuse to sit outside, smoke a stick, and watch the traffic go by.

Just got home from NY & found a package a friend had sent to me :D
a box of Bolivar Petite Corona from 97
The probelm is I am o tired to smoke anything right now
I did smoke a HDM DC (Hoyo De Montery Double Corona (00)
on the ride home from NY and a Diplomaticos #2 in NY.
The Dip was very strong, kind of surprised me - I lways think of these as very creamy - not this one.
The HDM was great - started very soft after and inch and a 1/2 it blossomed into coffee with cream, leather & a nutty under tone.
Rock and Roll BABY!

The only single sticks i have bought were 2 padron 1926 and 3 opus x (wanna say A but haven't measured them to verify).

I also in the past 2 weeks got a box of padron 64 exclusivos, punch rare corojo and two boxes of CC type smokes.

A "Valiente" from some guy who walked up to me at work while I was smoking and with whom I had quite a conversation about cigars. He said he started cigar smoking about 15 years ago and now buys exclusively from thompsons. He says he usually gets bundles equalling 100 cigars for less than 50 bucks. At fifty cents and having it be from where it came from, I think its going in the trash...or to someone who deserves a cigar joke.

I just "found" the padrons.
Smoked my first over the weekend and fell in love with them.
So I just picked up a few 2000's and a few 4000's. Got a couple of Hoyo de Monterry dark sumatra's to try. Heard they a good. Also got a few Fuente exquisitos for the wife. I'll be giving a couple of the Padrons to RazorKing to try. :D

Last buy

Hoya Excalibur
Hoya Dark Sumatra
La Gloria Natural Series R
Camacho Monarca
And last buy certainly not least, Diploma

Box of Cien Anos Coronas!! Oh yeah!! These are going to be gooood......

Can't wait to try these babies with some more age...resistance...resistance...I can wait!!

My latest pickups were

CAO Extreme Belicoso
CAO 65th Anni Tonton
Gurkha Platinum
Padron Fumas
Padron 3000
Partagas Black Label Magnifico
