I see everywhere for sale cigars that are seconds from some big companies, Rocky Patel LGC etc. I was wondering has anyone ever purchased seconds before and what was their experience with them.
You can get RP Edge for $49.00/ box. You'll loose a few but well worth it.

It's always a crap shoot but I'm OK with them.
I've bought AF Student rolls that were a 50% deal, so avoid them.

I've had many, many, many of Consuegra's and Old Fashioned's. Consuegra is seconds of Punch, Hoyo de Monterey, and El Rey del Mundo. Old Fashioned's are seconds of Hoyo de Monterey, I think.
Don't expect a perfect looking cigar, as they are seconds! Small imperfections to the wrapper are most common.
I've had very good luck with Connie's (common name) and Old Fashioned's. They're inexpensive to try, so you won't be out a lot!

I have had great luck with the RP Vintage 2nds - as Tiny Tim said - there are some small imperfections - but not on all of them and it's really hard to notice. Same great taste!
I have had bad luck with the Perdoma Overrruns! I got in 2 batches of them and I couldn't smoke them - could not get a draw out of them!
But as was pointed out - you pay a fraction of the originals so it's worth the gamble!

I'll second what Tiny Tim said about Consuegras. I keep a bundle of one size or another. Have had no problems with 99.9% of them. For a cheap smoke they're hard to beat.

I smoke all the seconds I can get, they taste just fine, & I have a draw poker to take care of the tight ones, the Rocky Patels are wonderful ( now I know I shouldnt tell you this, cause now your going to go out & get them & that will mean less for me to get ! Most of my converstations tend to drift tward the bottom of the pond, I am a botton dweller, not to be confused with pod scum that floats on the top of the water ! sooner or later it all come back to sex in one form or an other, I tend to hasen the flow down hill ! hahahaha & at my age down hill is the easyest way to go ! hahahaha I didnt get that gray beard from worry , it is just old age creeping up on all of us
