The life of a Firehouse Chef

Bloof, that would be my lovely wife. That pic was on our honeymoon in October. I will have some pics of her from the sit down soon.

I have a lovely pic of her with Ryan, but I won't post it without permission.

What a cool lady she is.

Hummuna, hummuna, hummuna, . . .

Capt's in the picture? I sure as heck didn't see him. :dunno: :dunno:

Oh and Mac...she's over you now!

Hey RAVYN,
Who is this woman and where did you get the avatar?
That's just too funny.

Christmas Eve

So, here I am once again, working X-mas eve. For some reason my shift always works this day. I got to work early, showered and made a pot of Kauai Peaberry coffee in the freedom press. For breakfast I had corned beef hash with green peppers and onions, accompanied by hash browns, eggs, and toast. Only one call so far today, and I was interupted about halfway thru a bowl of Montego Bay. It just seems right to smoke a pipe instead of cigars today. Brought in a couple dvd's to watch, Anchor Man and the "Day after tomorrow". Hopefully the day will be a slow one, I don't like to see anyones day ruined by having to call the FD out. Dinner will be venison stew, with some nice, thick-sliced sourdough bread. Everyone be safe during their holiday tavels, and CC, be careful on the slopes. Everyone have a great holiday. Capt

Really. . .

You and all fire fighters do a great thing. I hope your shift goes by quickly (maybe, get a few smokes in.)

Happy Holidays!

Best wishes on a quiet evening, I hope you enjoy "Day after Tomorrow", maybe we can pick it apart when you finally get to see it. It was a pretty good movie but.....

Thanks for being a trooper. It's times like this when I've spent a day laying around enjoying a day off and my American comforts, that I stop and thank The Lord for folks in jobs like yours. That counts especially when it comes to those who work on these major holidays. Thanks to Capt and all the people serving in the vital services that help make our nation strong and great, and keep us in comfort and safety.

Ahh!! I wonder where this thread got buried to. I finished a great dinner. Big and I had broiled partridge, with homemade gravy over noodles. Nothing special, but I would like to thank Big for finding the birds so I could shoot them. I am going to finish the night with a Porter homebrew and Tatuaje Miami. Here are some pics of yesterday's hunt.

I love that first picture. It looks like he's saying "who the heck do ya think caught them? I can cook too, y'know!"

That is why I ALWAYS let him have half of the bird. He sure worked a hellava lot harder than I. I just make sure I wipe all of the spices and seasonings off, cause I got to sleep with him tonight!
