What are you reading?

I am reading Lord Foul's Bane by Stephen R. Donaldson. It's the first book of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. Great set of books.

Well, right now I am reading the newest Orson Scott Card novel. I just finished a nice historical work entitled "1776". Before that I reread "Starship Troopers". Also this year I have read "The time Machine", "Boston's Gun Bible", "Molon Laabe", "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich", several westerns (Zane Grey, Louis L'amour, and Max Brand), Several of the original Sherlock Holmes stories, The two most recent Larry Niven books, the seventh Dark Tower book, "State of Fear" by Michael Chrichton, "The Phantom of the Opera", and I dont remember what else offhand. I like to read a lot, sometimes serious stuff, like history and classical literature, and sometimes just fun stuff, or whatever I happen to put my hands on. I just went and bought $100 worth of books at B&N a week or two ago, and I have a huge list on amazon that I have been meaning to buy, but just havent got around to ordering (been spending all my money on guns and ammo!).

Haven't had much reading time lately. The last serious read for me was "Unintended Concequences" James Ross...good read.

Am thinking of the "hitchhikers giude to the universe"...alot of people have loved it. Sounds like something I'd have fun with.

That would Be John Ross and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Both good reads. If you are going to read Hitchhikers.. get a complete set or buy a couple at a time. You can finish one in a couple of hours.

Yeah, I have read all the ones in that series, the newest one being the most recent addition.

Quoted by MasteShake "need to get some new old conan books -- robert e howard, who created the character, does it best"

MasterShake, you would have had a good time around here last week. Cross Plains, Texas birthplace of Robert E. Howard hosts a Barbarian Festival every year at this time. Conan lovers from all over the planet attend.

Man, that must be a sight!

Tonight I will finish the last Jonathon Kellerman book.
It took me almost a month, but I read all 23 books, including the one I will finish tonight,

Tombstone...Ever try to read trainspotting outloud....The dialect is amazing and true to voice...I think that is what really added a lot of dimension to the voice of the story, really gave it an authentic feel

Isn't that how it usually works? I'm just messin with ya.

Well, Card has at least one whole series that I havent read any of the volumes of. I have read all of the Ender series, and one other one I cant remember the name of right now, which envolved colonists in the far future returning to earth...
