What are you smoking?

had some C&D Apricots and Vanilla last night. Fantastic stuff. Might break into the Elegant Emu tonight.

I was getting some Kensington out to load up my pipe while sitting in the drive through lane at a local resturant and a F250 backed into me (Honda Accord). Crushed the rear driver's side door and shattered the window. I put up the pipe and tobacco. Maybe this evening when I get home from work.

Yeah it sucks, but nobody got hurt. Unfortunately for me, I'm driving my wife's grandmother's spare vehicle... a Chrysler Town and Country. Its a major blow to the ego to drive a minivan. But I only have to drive it untill the insurance company gets me a rental car. I never did get around to that Kensington last night, maybe tonight. She Who Must Be Obeyed had me rearanging furniture till late. I bet the people in the apartment below us really hate us.

Just finished a bowl of Gawith's Perfection. Great English blend, but I still cannot detect the vanilla topping they put in here.

Two Friends Heritage. Taaaayyyyssstteeeeee!

Not sure for tonight. I have some C&D on the Bayou to try. Maybe tonight with a nice Bells Expedition stout. Now, THAT sounds like an evening.

It's been awhile since I smoked anything other than a VA or English, so yesterday I broke out the three year old Dan Blue Note. I used to get wicked bite from this when it was new, but it has mellowed alot over the last three years, with no loss of flavor and aroma.

Come on fellas, no one is smoking? I haven't been lately, but the girl and I are heading up to do some steelhead fishing on Monday, and I plan on taking quite a few pipes along. This will be her first time on the river fighting chromers. I doubt I will have much time to smoke on the river, but afterwards while cooking fireside, I hope to be puffing away. She is planning on quitting cigarettes this weekend, so I need to try to not smoke around her too much. See you all when I get back.

Finishing up my very first bowl of SG FVF. Man o man what a great flake! When I first opened the tin I thought the flakes had some mold but closer inspection revealed they were sugar crystals. I broke the flake up a bit (no rubbing out here) and packed my pipe. Burns slow and long and has a great sweetness backing it up. I'll need to smoke a few more bowls to be sure but I can see this being my go to virginia blend. The flakes need some drying out upon opening but that's not a problem at all here in the desert. Other than that, I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. If you like virginias and haven't tried this yet, what are you waiting for? You're only depriving yourself!

Tried MacB's Plumcake for the first time w/my morning java. Pretty good morning smoke IMHO. I'm not at all into aromatics and this one walks a fine line, but it is very good. Not too strong at all, the Syrian Latakia doesn't smack you in the mouth like I expected. Smoke slow and cool, the plum/rum/sweet flavor (whatever it is) comes through almost to the end of the bowl. Burns to a dry salt & pepper ash. Very nice for a morning smoke but I don't see me going back to it any other time of the day.

getting ready to fire a bowl of G&H Bobs Chocolate flake. I have been wanting to try this one bad.

So far this was the best tobacco that I have smoke. I loved it. I can't describe flavors in Pipe tobacco yet but it was just fantastic.

Can't find a tobacco shop around here that carries anything but bongs! Smoking Captain Black Gold, not bad, but not nearly as flavorful as anything else.

AH, yes. One of my all time favorite go-to's. I can still remember the first time I lit a bowl of BCF, I dumped it out and almost threw the pipe in the garbage. That initial aroma of the Lakeland soapy taste about made me sick. But I gave it another try, and got hooked. I have 10 tins cellared as old as 2005. Great choice Chris!

I need to order a few tins of BCF. Right now I think I have about 8.5 LBS comming in. LOL I made a few trades so it should be interesting. I still need to order a few pipes as I only have one and a few cobs
