What Movie Did You Watch Last Night?

Watched Captain Phillips a few nights ago. Very good movie.
I was afraid it would be a painfully long as Castaway.... Glad I was wrong.

A Matter of Wife and Death - 1975 Private eye story with Rod Taylor - nothing special.

1941 - 1979 Comedy Classic, worth watching every few years. Not one of the top movies of all time but pretty close.

The Shawshank Redemption - The wife never saw it, my favorite of all time. She also loved the movie. Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins acted as if it were real life.

Thor 2 and Gravity. Picked up the 3D versions Tuesday. Both were good.
Gravity will probably get some awards at the Oscars. Unusual, in that the entire movie takes place in a continuous 1:45 period - no build up to the plot, no lead-up, and no flashbacks..... It was like it was actually happening as it was filmed in real time. Quite different.
Thor 2 was very good.... a pleasant surprise, actually. The story had plot and great flow. Of course, a lot of CGI, but not over done. I was impressed.

The Bitter Tea of General Yen - 1933 - With Barbara Stanwyck and a Danish actor made up to look Chinese playing General Yen. Anyhow this guy (Nils Asther) was a dead ringer (without being made up) for Sheldon of the Big Bang Theory.

Riverboat Rhythm - 1946 somewhat funny, and cigars included(don't recall any smoke tho).
