MMmmm... Pepin.. I like everything that guy makes. I just finished reading the article on him in the Dec issue of CA while smoking a Pepin JJ Maduro. Yet another fine cigar by him.
Today I picked up another Pepin Robusto Sampler:
2 Pepin Blue Label
2 Pepin JJ Maduro
2 Pepin Cuban Classic
2 San Cristobal
as well as 2 Oliva Master Blends 2, the last 2 robustos the local B&M had. They still have almost a full box of the Churchills but I'm not a fan of that size. I like the 2 more than the original, they fuller bodied and pack more flavor as well, but they're a lot harder to find because production was less than 1/2 of what they made for the original series, only 120,000 vs 375,000 of the original, which explains why the original are still available online and the MB2 has virtually disappeared.
The local B&M also had several boxes of the Pinar 3000 legal cubans, but with both my daughters birthdays this month to kick off the holiday season, I had to pass. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll still have some after the holidays have passed.
