I've had the Gurkha shaggy and I'm sorry to say that it was no doubt my least favorite of all the Gurkha's I've tried, which have been quite a few. In fact, it was the first Gurkha that I flat out didn't care for at all. A bit harsh and had a bite to it. Not a pleasant flavor at all. I hope your experience will be better than mine.
Today I just bought a few Pepin Blues and a Pinar 3000, which is rolled completely with pre-embargo cuban tobacco vs the 2000 which has an ecuador wrapper & binder. I'll let it age a bit then fire it up. I hope it's worth the $11.75 it cost, which in a way didn't seem too bad considering the current cost of cuban cigars. This one was a dark, maduro type wrapper. There were only 2 left in the box and it seemed to me the other boxes which were almost full had lighter wrappers. I'll post a review after I smoke it. They have several boxes of these and if I like it I'll probably pick one up.
