Well today is Wednesday and I am somewhere in the Persian Gulf on some little Grey Boat. Todays exciting lunch was Sliders, Cheese Sliders with L,T,O,P & M. Cigar last night at the English style Pub was a RAS, and four pints of Kilkenny. There will be no beer tonight (silly Navy) but the cigar will be a RyJ Churchill (oct04) from the box purchased at the duty free shop when I entered Dubai. I will try to keep this thread going as long as the satalite stays connected.

Tom,

As an American citizen, I feel I have no choice but to inspect the cigars you purchased in a foreign country. It is a matter of National Security that you send me the balance of the possible contraband immediately upon your arrival back into the United States. The cigars in question will be tested to ensure they are legal and the ones found "in good favor" with my testing procedures will be returned to you in "ash form"! :D

tell them to bring one of their grey boats down to savannah again so we can go to moon river and churchills!

Sounds Great Bill, Savannah in August is cool compaired to this place.
Tim - Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, There may be none left by the time I get Home. I am not scheduled to be stateside until Oct 4th. I just can't keep my fingars of thos Churchills,

As Tiny Tim's Special Assistant, I'm required to obtain at least three of those cigars for ummmmmm, . . .

independent third party confirmation.

Yea Blof. I all ready wish I had bought two boxes.

Well it is Saturday morning somewhere in the Indian Ocean. The email/internet has been down for a day or so.
Friday morning I did manage to have a Sunrise Cigar. It was very peasefull until everyone woke up. I have about a week left until I can get back into a real bed.
My Cigar supply is holding up pretty good. I have about a box and a half left. I may have to restock in Amsterdam on the way home if I don't slow down. Any requests Sir Bloofington, Vince ?

Well, Well, Its Sunday morning about 0930 in my time zone. We finished working about 0500 this morning. I jumped into the rain locker, put on clean clothes and went and got into the chow line. It was eggs over easy, toast, bacon, hash browns, sticky bun and grapefruit juice. I then I made up my mind to find out exactally where I am. I climbed up to the bridge to check out the charts in the QM table. Yes, right there in black and white was our position. Sorry I can't tell you, Its classified. By,By. I can tell you we are some where off the coast of Africa.

Having fun BigTom? :D

Don't forget to bring me back some Cuban cigars! Make a note!!! :D

Tuesday's Report: yesterday was a Big Day. We pulled along side a floating Gas station traveling at 15 knots. RAS (refuling at sea) is really neat. Two ships traveling side by side at 15 knots with 110 feet between them. It still impresses me. It is official, I am stuck out here of the east coast of Africa for another two weeks. On Oct 5 I get a helo ride from this destroyer over to an oiler. I am not sure how long I will be on that ship before it pulls into port. There is never a dull day out here. Been having a sunset cigar in the evenings. I hope I will have enough left to share with Tiny Tim, Bloofington, Vince, my son in law, etc, etc, etc.

You should delete the reference to the "East Coast of Africa." When you said you were bound by secrecy the other day, and also said "coast of Africa" you were safe. The "coast of Africa" could mean anywhere within a huge area. The "East Coast of Africa" narrows it down considerably. As a result, you have violated military protocol, and are subject to punishment.

BAILIFF, WHACK HIS PEEPEE!!! :neer: :cryinlaugh:

1. Do you have any idea how big the East Coast of Africa really is ? :D Find me if you can!
2. Thank you for the offer but I will wack my own PeePee.
3. I just smoked YOUR cigar tonight (RyJ Churchill)! It was awsome!
4. Vince, do you remember all those stars that are out at night when you are at sea ? They are still there and they are still awsome!

I know, but at least we don't have to round the horn looking for you. You smoked MY cigar? :dunno: As for Vince, I think he's still trying to get over the Steelers loss. So am I.

And as for dem stars partner, you mean whin ewe look up inna skah, y'all kin see Paris Hilton and Britney Spears? :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh:

I can't believe you brought that up. I stayed up all night watching that game, just to be heart broken. I am afraid I have some bad news for you, those two, >*^$@#%&(+ are not stars. They are simply the manifistation of some very sick minds.
When you look up into the sky out here away from the lights of Fishkill NY you see stars, billions of stars, all the way to the Milky Way. Its beautiful.
Oh Vince, we are getting ready to induct some Polywogs on Sunday. Fun, Fun, Fun. I never thought I would get another chance.

Tom. All the best to you. In your travels around there can you pick me up a bottle of liquor? Smells like annisette but not sweet. It's clear like vodka or gin and turns milky when you add water. Has a hell of a kick. Will trade for some Hirsch!!!! :D :D

Hi Rick,
What you are looking for is Greek, OUZU. You might be able to find it in your local liquer store. I will, however pick you up one overhere that just may be of a tad better quality. It's good to hear from you.

Tom

Don't know about this "away from the lights of Fishkill" business. It's a tiny town. The area, despite the development taking place, is still semi-rural suburbia, plus I'm three miles out of town, up on a small mountain. As for skies, we see the same thing up here you see over there, because there are no "lights of Fishkill." Midtown Manhattan is 70 miles from here, and we get some of the most wonderful skies you can imagine. It reminds me of being at camp 40 years ago, or on my father's farm in Puerto Rico. That's one of the things I love the most about living up here, the skies.

Sorry about bringing that game up, but you know, "misery loves company," and there's LOTS of misery in Jetsland these days. Not about Chad, we're GLAD his career is over, it's just the losing that hurts.

Just bring me cigars; I think they're called "Monty 2's" or something like that!

And who the heck let Rick from Dallas on this friggin' board???  :banghead:
