Greetings from the Indian Ocean. Not much going on today. We are poking along at 9 knots taking intelligence. I thought intellingence was something you have or don't have. I will have to ask the captain to collect some for me.
Interesting fact for the day; Even thought it is Saturday it is actually Monday. The weekend for our Arab friends is Thursday and Friday. So, Wednesday night is the big Party night,ie Friday night. Any way it looks like I may be getting a change of venue Tuesday.

Yes, I am jumping from this destroyer to an oiler bright and early tomorrow. We have to fill up the tank on this Grayhound. We will be taking on 300,000 gals. Then they will put Tom in a little RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) and putt, putt me over to the big comfortable Oiler. Hopefully, I will still have some internet.

Well its Wednesday night in the Indian Ocean. I am comfortably aboard the USNS Kanawha. :) They have a smoking lounge way up on the 06 level. You can go close yourself in a little steel room and smoke to your hearts content. :? The Small Boat ride from one ship to the other really sucked. :( We were in 4 - 6 ft seas riding ina 16 ft rubber boat. I got wet, very wet. I do have a room to myself with a real bed, no steel box to sleep in. As you can tell I gots internet. The story will continue a couple of more days. Its getting close to bed time.

Tom was abducted by a radical group of torturous bourbon-ists!!!

Well Guys, I arrived in Fajarah UAE on Sat morning, boy was I glad to walk on dry land once again. We did the usual customs and immagration stuff. I rented a small bus for the six of us for the two hour trip from FUJ to Dubai. We arrived at Hotel just in time to check in, take a shower and get to HAPPY HOUR in the downstairs Pub. That was one Great Kilkenny. The second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth were pretty good also.

And boy oh boy was Tim"s Monty #2 great.

I would ramble on about how the trip home really SUCKED, thanks to Continential Airlines but you really don't want to hear that. I should have been home at 4:00 Monday, instead it was midnight.

I did pick up a nice liter of Port (Cockburns Special Reserve,16.00) in the duty free in Dubai along with a resupply of smoking materials. Your a lucky boy Timmy.

Its been fun but not real fun.
