I'm excited!
Usually, I'm a one stick a week guy. Part of my vacations are about cigars though and I got a vacation starting at 4pm on friday. Opening day of trout here in PA is on saturday. Me and RazorKing got cabins and the families and the outdoors till monday afternoon.
Friday evening, I'll be starting with a Camacho Candela,(the St. Pattys day edition) At some point on saturday (prolly after I limit out for the day...around noon )
I'll fire up a chateau fuente CUBAN TRINIDADand absorb the ambiance of the early afternoon. (my friend Scotch might be involved) Oh dark thirty will bring out the Upman camaroon CUBAN UPMAN CONNOSUER in me. Sunday eve I will finish my vaca up with a Padron 3000....
What do you think...good BETTER plan?

I completely forgot that me and RazorKing were given these cubans as presents and told to smoke both in one day to see the difference..so thats what we're gonna do!

Sounds good to me!! Great plan...
My problem with days like that, is I tend to have a stick from my mouth the whole day....a habit I'm not trying to stay doing, but that usually only happens one weekend night, or day during a BBQ or golf! :D

same problem hear. my trips usually require 20-25 sticks for a 3 day weekend. last summer i bought an puros indio "cheif" for just such occasions. we was touring skyline drive and it was too big to smoke in car. it will be good this year and its the only cigar thats ever aged around here[except the grab bag i stuck in truck and forgot]

In the three years I've been smoking cigars, I think I've only smoked more than 1 cigar in a day four or five times. If I had a stick in my mouth all day, I'd be getting headrushes from the nicotene

:!: What a plan, I think I'll do the same thing, since I happen to have those same stiks in my humi.

I'll bring some back up too since I plan on limiting before noon

Jrinam, for those who don't exactly know what a Puros Indios "Chief" is, or have never seen or held one like I have, can you actually smoke one of those in a single sitting, and how long does it take?

10 hours, it is at least a foot long, over a 60 ring, and is a "real" cigar, not a suvineer. as a said, it doesnt fit in my car.

where you going raven? found a bar/restaraunt today near cooks forest/marionville that has smoking section, but no nonsmoking section.

i saw something similar to that at my local shop today but i think it said magnum on the side of the single coffin. It was about a foot and a half long. Knowing that it is a real cigar i just became really excited. I might have to go get one if i can fit it in my coolerdor. It would be too fun next time my friends are over for a cigar if i act like im having a hard time picking what to smoke and then pull that thing out. or act like i can't find it while i look in my 25ct or 30ct humidors, then be like, oh i remember its in the coolerdor.
If i buy one rest assured after a few jokes i will smoke it. I can picture myself on the beach getting sun for 8 hours while i smoke one cigar. I will think about it tonight, but now id really like to get one and document with pics a day of smoking one big A** cigar.

dont know about magnum. saw a cheap cigar called magnum, label looked like macanudo with dark colors instead of white and green. it may not be any good. i got mine at smoker friendly. their site is cigarexpress.com 1 800 922 1233 ext. 5 but its not listed in price sheet. think it was a promotional thing.

man, it would take days to smoke that! not to mention it would be completely plugged about half way down.

haha...we're talking trout brother...not crappys

I fired up a Cuban Parejo Corona Gigante Rosado, 7.5x56. That was a pleasant 2 1/4 hour diversion last night. I have a box of Puros Indios Victorias, 7.5x60. They don't look like they will take as long to consume due to the shape...but I can't wait to find out! About 15 years ago, I came acrossed a novelty cigar that was about 12x128. Of course, I had to buy it! Cost was about $6. I gifted it to a friend, who sometime later, gave it back, daring me to smoke it. I tried but it was absolutely awful...it had a good draw and burned well, it just tasted very bad.

OK!
now I'm really excited!
this is going to be a long work day...might have to leave alittle early...gotta finish packing..yea...thats it..gotta finish packing....
:D

packing eh.... that sounds like fun, I think I should leave work early too... packing.... thanks RAVYN i now feel justified in my decision

Glad I could be of help Macallen!
Just let me know if you need any other work excuses. I've used them all...haha

ahh...
back to work after a trip...what fun :(

Several up sides here though... :D ...a short work week...and the cigars were great! Although not quite as scheduled as I anticipated.

Friday eve..the St. Pattys camacho candela. Wow, Lots of smoke. A full mouthfull with every draw. Burned completely even... all the way to the nub. Typical claro taste. (I'm still trying to figure out how to describe it.) A great smoke.

Saturday...the day started at 4am. By 6:30 I was cooking eggs bacon and sausage...it was darn good. At 8 we started fishing ...I kept fishing till 10:30 when the women showed up...second breakfast...more eggs, bacon and sausage....more fishing...we gave up at 2 ...Razorking caught a couple...my nephew caught a couple of crappies...I caught alittle bit of sunburn...it was a great day though. It was too windy to smoke so we waited till after dinner to enjoy a cigar. I had my staple Chateau fuente.

Sunday...we decided to forgo fishing for a nice 3 to 4 mile hike...It ended at our cabin and we celebrated with the Cuban trinidad..7 x 42?...or close to that ring size. Had the typical chicken poop smell :) ...dark dark gray ash...smoked perfect all the way down. Not as much smoke as I like. It was a mild and creamy smoke. I haven't developed my senses yet to give a specific taste but it was quite good. The evening brought out the Cuban Upman Connoseur. Same pre smoke smell and dark ash...much spicier and very smoky. Burned slow and even.

Never got to the padron 3000 but that will be another day.
We had a great time and it was a wonderful kickoff to the upcoming summer season. I just hope this isn't a glimpse of my whole fishing season..hahah...

(alittle spelling edit :) )

I always tell people when they ask that a candella cigar tastes like it looks. Grassy.
