I just thought it would be interesting to know who likes what kind of cigars, why and when.

I like a good full bodied cigar. I want it to kick my a$$. I want to have to eat a full meal before i smoke. I want to know i have a CIGAR. I want to feel it and let it consume me. Im always looking for a stronger cigar.
... but only on days when the temp is in the 60s - 70s
if it is much hotter i go for a smooth medium cigar that is nice and sweet paired up with a light iced tea.
im not so much into the very mild but every now and then if i am out with my friends around the campfire in the early afternoon i like a churchill sized candela. I dont want it to be the center point of the day.

im still looking for a cigar that i cannot finish. I hear the el cobre is for the hard core only. I may have to try one before they run out.

I like'em all.

I usually enjoy the medium-full the best anytime. I tend to stay away from purely mild cigars, they just don't do it for me, unless they're packed with flavor...

I like mild-medium in the morning with coffee, and anyhting else any other time of the day....

I like a cigar that will compliment the meal I just had, whether light or full, I'll pair it off with whatever seems like it would hit the spot.....

Medium, full-flavored pretty much suits me at all times. I too like to "know I'm smoking a cigar" but some of the fuller-bodied ones that I've had, well, not only kicked my ass, but left me feeling a little green. And thats no fun at all

I guess ultimately, I like what I like. But some of the more mild ones, well, just seem like a waste of valuable smoking time.

my $.02

I really enjor medium bodied ones mostly. Every so often (like on Saturday nights) I'll go for a full-bodied one.

Heck, I don't know, in real life I like most cigars, just not weak ones that I can barely taste.

Oh, and I don't want any flavored cigars (other than tobacco flavor of course!)

I like a medium to medium full. Sometimes a flavorful mild is nice though. I really have to smoke to suit my mood though and definitely in order of body. For instance, I had a JFR again today my my local shop's event. Then I had a Vengeance. The JFR kicked my A$$, so I really couln't even finish the milder Vengeance.

I like them all. I tend to smoke mild Cameroon wrapper cigars early in the morning while on a walk or dog training, and I will work my way up throughout the day. At night after dinner I like a full bodied cigar, and if I have another one as a "nightcap" I will go back to a mild-medium bodied cigar.

Since it has been a pretty hot summer I have been smoking a lot of mild-medium cigars.

I enjoy a medium to full body cigar...RP Vintage 90, 5 Vegas series A, Partaga black label, La Perdoma. I have a question, however I have not felt the "kick your a$$" like so many have mentioned. What am I doing wrong? Am I smoking too light of cigar? What should I try (just short of cubans) to get that feeling. I really would like to experience that. I heard that Joya De Nicuargua and Diploma's will do the trick....any other suggestions? Thanks all

A good Opus X will also do the trick as well, although the Diploma does it a heck of a lot cheaper and stronger in my opinion.

I like the full bodied smokes simply because it suits my palette. Something about a tall pint of Guinness and a nice full bodied cigar gets my motor churnin'.

i found that almost anything by camacho will require a meal before you smoke. im guessing that the candela wont. i havent had one of those yet.
Anyone try one?

I was sent a Camacho Corojo and CAO Sopranos in a nice PIF package. After each of those, I was pretty much ready for a nap...

However, when you say "what am I doing wrong", in my opinion some people can handle full bodied cigars better than others. You just may be one of them. I know I'm not. I've been smoking mild to medium bodied cigars for years. I personally prefer a more flavorful cigar over a cigar that is just "bold" I guess.

Someone told me the Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Natural was full-bodied, yet I thought it was the most mild cigar I smoked all year. Maybe its just an "each to their own" type of experience.

Depends on what mood I'm in, and if I've eaten anything prior.

I like milds like Cusano for any occasion.
Mediums like Perdomo, Fuente Hemmingways and Gurkhas for almost any occasion, BBQ-ing and golfing.
I save the kick@ss-knock-down-flat-on-your-face full-bodied for my golfing opponents. Hey, I need all the handicap I can get.
But really, after a nice meal, I like more medium to full bodied like a juicy Onyx Reserve, Fuente Anejo or Hemmingway Maduro.

I dont know, its like I have built up a resistance to cigars. I haven't had a butt kicker in a while. The last one I can remember was an El Rico Habano, original blend, they changed a while ago, not as potent but smoother.

Some Cubans have come close along with Opus-X, Ashton VSG to name a few. On a scale of 1-10, I like 5/6 before dinner, and a 10 after dinner.

Heat and humidity also play a factor. The colder it gets the stronger I like my cigars.

Body is extremely subjective IMHO.

I used to be able to smoke fuller cigars one right after the other with no problem, I can't do it anymore. I mean I'm no Bloof  but I somteime get a little lightheaded whereas I never did before.

I think it could actually have something to do with technique. If you think about it, the way you smoke can perhaps potentially allow more nicotine from the tobacco to be absobed.

Some of the ones you might try if you want the "kick your A$$" feeling:
Diploma
Edge Corojo (still on the lighter side IMO)
Joya de Nicaragua Antano
Opus X (for some)
JFR

Hey Kuzi;
Head down to your local shoppe and get yourself a Camacho Coyolar Puro Titan. It'll sit you down on your rear, I guarentee it!

I've had some of the Candela's aging for a couple of years now. Maybe me and Rayvn will try them out this weekend. They were a little harsh when they were young. Not the best combo for a claro.

Have a good weekend.

i think ill do just that.

I don't discriminate. I'll smoke any strength cigar any time if it appeals to me. I'll just be in the mood for a particular flavor profile and not care if its warm or cold or before or after dinner. I like what I like when I like it

OK, I did find a cigar that had the infamous, butt-kicking qualities. (drumroll...........) the Joya de Nicaragua Antano Consul. WOW, freaking WOW. I had no idea what a punch this baby would pack. I am a big fan of full bodied cigars and have been looking for a cigar that was heavy and loaded. This is it. no joke. Please sit down while smoking. My head was floating after smoking this stick to the nub. I smoked this last night and I was shaking off the buzz all night. I hope someone else has smoked this cigar and confirm my findings.

I like cigars from mild to full bodied. I have learned that you have to smoke the cigar before you can put your own degree of bodiedness to it. However, as everyone says and I must agree, the Diploma is the fullest bodied cigar I have ever smoked. But it was sooooooooo delicious!!!
