Ok I am totally frustrated. I used to work on cars all the time. Key word used to. I had to replace the gasket for the thermostat housing on my 99 dodge ram with a 360. I figured no big deal I have done that before with ease. So I print the pages I need from the PDf service manual I have and it doesn't look too bad. I pop the hood and the space is 5-6" wide and about 7" down. I think ok this will be a pain, but I got it covered. I end up breaking one of the bolts and I am thinking crap. So it is 7:30 at night on a Sunday and the only place open is Home Depot, so I buy a black and decker screw extrator. I drilled and installed the extractor and it snaped too. Now I am going to have to pay about $120 for a tow truck and probable about $300 to get it fixed. All of this could have been done for $150 by the auto shop.
I am done working on any modern vehicle. I just don't have the time or the expertise any more.
OK I am done whining.
