about 1/4 good smokes and the rest decent smokes that you arent too worried about. when on vacation i rarely have time to sit and enjoy a smoke for a couple hours. my vacations are always on the go.
Choose something to match the type of drinks/food and activities you're going to do be doing!
I guess bring a few high end sticks, a bunch of okay sticks, then many shorter-not-so-important-to-you-but-still-good sticks. haha..
Since you're probably going to be on the go, you don't want too large of a cigar that you may not be able to finish just because you're moving around so much.
I want to bring a bunch of diploma. I have a pretty good humidor but you know how tempermental that cigar can be out of the humidor and in transit. But since it is my life blood I will definately have to chance it.
Any Maui veterans out there that can suggest good activities/ dining. My staple vacation drink is a corona. Brooke said she is going to drink Mai Tai (sp???) the whole time.
Poi and cigars= :barf: I don't know anything about the cigar culture over their since I was there many years before I started smoking cigars, but it's a beautiful place to do it in!
Spend about $50 before you go and get an Otter Box travel humdiditor. Basicly bomb proof, and has its own humdidifying device. Mine holds about 50 or so Churchill size. Very sweet set up for the $$$. I always have mine it the truck, as I never know what I'll be doing. It floats and is waterproof, so it's even ended up in the water while fishing.
I am vacationing on Cape Cod starting Saturday, and other than one or two Opus, I will be consuming strictly contriband.
thats how i got to hilton head, came down for vacation and never left. Stayed at my mom's and had my roomate ship my clothes down. Went back 2 months later and got the rest of my stuff.
Cape cod will be awesome, wish i could come visit.
colonel i have the 5 stick and 15 stick case. Thanks for your endorsement of the larger one. I always felt it was too big. Ther verdict is in on cigars:
In varying quantities: Diploma, OpusX perfec. X, Cien Anos Coronas, la fontana lonsdale, cusano hermanos vintage robusto, cusano 18 robusto, camacho corojo dark figurado, c10 corona
additionally, i decided I will start the day with a nice dark cup of coffee and a hemmingway short story. Not really a big fan of the cameroon hemmingways but it is a great size for a short morning smoke so I thought I would give it a try.
i have smoked may of the between the lines. I actually have a the two different wrapps in my "museum box". They are a decent cigar. Definatly more eye candy thenn anything else.
I agree, taste reminds me of a Short Story or Work of Art. I keep a normal and reverse wrap in the humidor for looks. But I would never turn one down either as they are a solid smoke.
