just wondering what we all use for a lighter. i have a colibri quantum vortex red ice. great lighter also luv the built in punch cutter and also looks great.

I use a Zippo.......... Just kidding. I have a collection, but my favorite is a Colibri Quantum Jet that Alex "left me" LOL. Also have one of the Cigar.com dual flame. That dual flame always works, and puts out hell-fire flames.

I use a Xikar Executive. Best lighter I've had yet. I use Vector butane in it. Seems to be a good combination.

Colibri Quantum Belmont. Always lights. Maybe not on the first click but if you're that impatient then you shouldn't smoke cigars. I fill it every morning and get maybe two cigars with touch ups out of it. I use Colibri fuel and have never had a problem. Once a month or so I take it apart and blow compressed air through all the parts. I'm building a desktop lighter out of screen an wiring sort of like an old time radio but am still wrestling with the whole path of least resistance thing.

I now use the Colibri's that JR keeps throwing into my orders from their website. Work very well and they're free.

Quantum Jet by colibri is cheap and dependable. Probably best bang for you buck.

Depends on the situation - outside on the golf course in the wind I use my Colibri Arc (with a punch cutter on the bottom!) and if I am inside I will go to wooden matches.

long stem non sulphur matches inside, bic outside

i had heard a lot of bad things about colibri, got turned off on em
thinkin about classin it up with a prometheus...
...maybe if i had a job...

Does anyone make a insert for zippos that use a jet system? I have a lot of zippos from my grandfather that hold certain centimental value to me(mostly ones from his 20 years in the navy, especially during WWII) that I would like to use. Or does Zippo make such insert?

Edit: Answered my own question. http://www.elighters.com/zplus.html
Sweet!

Before you go ordering one of those, you outta just stop in at any good gas station or convienence store and pick up a zippo style torch. You should be able to just unscrew the torch part from the case and slip it in a zippo case. I did that once when the gas station one I had got left in the rain and the case rusted.

Shake, I had read that too but decided to chance it. I found if you just take care of it and keep it clean you have no problems. Granted I've only had mine about 5 months, but at 30 bucks, I don't see even having to replace it anually as a big ticket thing. I do want an X-tend Tattoo lighter though...

I have the z-plus insert for my zippo. Its a great little unit, works great, I've got no complaints.
