Sweet! In keeping with the theme, where did the idea supposedly originate?

It wasn't even related to the tobacco industry, and I'll send a nice package out to whoever gets this if I don't have to give a hint.

The town crier?

Hue

No, not the town crier. I'll give a hint when I get home from work if nobody has it.

Only 1 guess? Maybe it was harder than I tought. I'll scratch this one out in favor of an easier question. The idea supposedly originated in prison, where the inmates were read stories.

An easier question. Here's a picture of me standing next to my favorite breed of dog, a Great Dane. I'm the one w/the blue t-shirt on. Using the dog as a sort of reference, how tall am I, rounded up to the nearest inch?

The reading thing originated with the weavers of cloth in Britain, it was a way to educate and entertain.

Interesting, that's why I asked where it supposedly started. But since we're talking Cuba here, I was going with the reading of stories in prison, which is what my reference said. I'm sure there are a few other answers that could be debated as well.

No correct answer for my height yet. Patrick is closest though. To make it easier, I'm under 5' 6".

And we have a winner! 5'4" it is. I've still got your store addy Rob, I'll get a package sent out tomorrow.

Excellent!! I might not have won Powerball last night, but I'm a Winner today. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!! Thanks PuFf.
Here's my question. This is a flag question and a military question. When displaying the Armed Forces flags, what is the correct order of display?? (from the viewpoint of the observer)

United States Army, United States Marine Corps, United States Navy, United States Air Force, United States Coast Guard, Army National Guard of the United States, Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Naval Reserve, Air National Guard of the United States,
Air Force Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve

I included the Coast Guard even though they are not part of the DoD. They do deserve the same respect accorded to others who defend our country.

Sam

Good Job Sam,

I'll get something out asap for you. I believe I still have your address.

Rob

Awesome!!! I'm looking forward to the package.

Now, what was the corona civica awarded for in ancient Rome?
