Ok, here are some clues:

One group was designed to be fired in automatics. Consequently, they generally have a round/pointed shape and an extensive copper jacket so that they will feed reliably.

The second group was designed for revolvers. They tend to have a flatter-nosed bullet which is often unjacketed or has a partial jacket.

The two diameters in question are .357 inches and .355 inches. None of these cartridges measure anywhere near .380 inches.

OK-

I'll go first
9mm - .355" Pointed
9x21 - .355" Pointed
357Mag - .357" Blunt
357 Sig - .355" Blunt
38 Spl - .357" Pointed
380 Browning - .355" Pointed
38 Super (Same as 38 Auto or 38 ACP?) - .355" Pointed

Nice work Hammondc,

I guess I would consider the 357 sig to have a pointed style bullet, but you are right that it often uses a rounded taper that flattens out at the tip so blunt works just fine for me. The 38 Special can really go either way shapewise so I was going to accept either answer on that. PM me your addy and prefs and I'll get you some sticks out shortly.

All the best,

Joe

tick tock tick tock...

Have you got a question ready yet Hammond?

Switzer...

Now he runs a chicken restaurant and several other enterprises around here.

But you can still see him in the stands or even on the sidelines at a good portion of OU games.

Hope he remembered to take the guns out of his bags before trying to get into the stadium...

Oh man!!! You didn't kill me for mentioning a dinosaur. It's actually great to get some news on Ol' Barry. Chicken restaurants, huh? Well, good for him. Maybe I'll get a chance to try some of Barry's birds some day. What's this about guns, bags, and the stadium? Sounds like a good story. I'm glad he got a ring with my Cowboys, although at the time he was really just riding Jimmy Johnson's coattails. The 'Boyahs were on automatic pilot back then, and they would have won it all that year even if Miss Piggy was the coach.

HAHA

About the gun...

Barry was busted with a concealed handgun in his carryon bag at DFW airport. He claimed he forgot it was in there. I think in the end he plead down to probation, and no conviction ever came of it.

DOH!!

Hey, I'd have given Barry a break. He's not the type I'd worry about carrying a gun on to a plane. As a matter of fact, I'd RATHER have Switzer on board with a gun than without one. First sign of a terrorist and he'd have that gun up against his head, and say Son, you know what offense my college teams were famous for? The WISHBONE!!! Now down on the floor and spread those legs far apart. We're gonna make a wish with YOU!!! :cryinlaugh:

Meanwhile back that the forum, after a nice little football break HammondC was heard to say.....

It was posted yesterday  . I was gonna post before I left, but didn't want you guys posting answers for 4 days. There are some REALLY close answers on my contest.
