Nope, no relation Capt. Where are you at axe? I see theres another guy in Oakland. Indeed, nice to see some locals.

As I stated in my first post, I'm into the milder, smooth cigars. Can you guys give me some suggestions to try? Much appreciated. And are there any other flavored cigars available here besides the CAO's?

I'm living in the Tenderloin (seriously) District of SF while I attend the California Culinary Academy. But I have a house in Temecula which is SoCal's version of wine country.

As far as milder, smooth smokes, also consider giving these a try:

Romeo Y Julieta Vintage
Ashton
AVO CAO Gold
Montesino
Montecristo

New Poster....

Yes, I have been lurking for a while, ordering from cigar.com for about a year...thought I would finally say hi.

Have been a Macanudo Robusto fan for a long time...the Sol Cubano Sumatra's were a great treat when I ordered those earlier this year. Easily a new favorite. Looking forward to getting some great suggestions form the forum on good cigars in the future.

That is all.

Welcome to the forum. I take it you like Blue Oyster Cult?? Sit back, enjoy yourself and welcome to our little corner of cyber space. Ryan

Hey People. I thought I'd introduce myself in a much better and more mature manner than I did when I first posted last night about the New Orleans thing. My name is Aubrey and I am a submarine Lieutenant currently stationed in Charleston, SC on shore duty. My first tour was in Pearl Harbor, HI on the USS Olympia and I'll be here in Charleston for another year. I train aspiring nuclear-trained officers and enlisted sailors who then go to our submarines and carriers. I am a Cajun that grew up in south Louisiana and went to school at Tulane University in New Orleans (which is why I got so cranky). As for cigars, I like medium to full bodied cigars. My favorites so far (I've only been smoking a few months) are the CAO Maduros and the Torano Exodus 1959. If money were no object, the Padron 1964s are the best, though I haven't tried the 1926s yet. Anybody that has any other suggestions that I might enjoy, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Welcome acharpe! I think you'll find this to be a fun, interesting, and educational forum to participate in. Looking forward to having you join in.
