welcome to both of you.

i really like the mx2, hopefully you enjoy it as much as i do cause you will be in for a treat.

Troutbum, welcome. As soon as I saw your name, I knew I was in trouble. I spend more money on cigars and flyfishing, than my wife spends on purses and shoes. Maybe we can trade some sticks for a couple hendricksons???  Capt

Those are all great choices as long as you like them. That is what matters. I have had them all but the la aroma and they are good smokes. The basic idea is just to go with what you enjoy smoking, new smoker or old smoker. Some new smokers start with something real mild, some jump in and start smoking real strong stuff. It is all about the individual.

i like the aroma de cuba and montecristos a lot but like calibus said its all about taste. if those cigars are your firsts then i think that is a very good first order. It will help you tell what you do and do not like.

I've been lurking around this site for a couple of weeks now and decided to register. My name is Chad and my wife and 1 year old son live in Fredericksburg, VA. I just got out of the Army last year and moved east from Colorado. I just started getting into cigars this year and look forward to learning as much as I can from all of you on this board. Happy smoking.

Hello everyone,
I'm a new smoker as well and found this site to be the best so far. Very knowledgeable people here! I've gotten a lot of tips that have worked out well for me!

I agree with Calibus that those are good choices in cigars, Jeffrow, as long as you like them. A friend asked me a question the other day, he said, "What's the best cigar in the world?", "Which one?" I ask....He says "The one you like." How true is that? Great advice.

Just sample around until you find what you like. Just a word of caution, though....it gets expensive!

New to the forums

Hi All,

I've been ordering from Cigar.com for a year or so now, but I actually just noticed the forums, so I thought I'd say hello - not sure what else to say so I'll throw out my favorite sticks and info:

I smoke about 3-4 cigars a week normally, although I'll have my days when I smoke about that many (social gatherings, etc). I enjoy stronger smokes, tend not to like anything too mild but there are always exceptions.

Here are my current favorites:
- Punch Rare Corojo
- CAO Brazilia (gol)
- La Aroma de Cuba
- Drew Estates Kahlua (only the tins or cigarillo though)
- 5 vegas
- CAO Criollo

Like everyone else, I'm always trying new ones. I'm gonna get my hands on a couple of Sauza, CAO Black, and Gurka in the near term.

Thanks,
Andrew
