I want to buy a motorcycle but my wife won’t let me. What bikes do you recommend to a beginner? Keep in mine one thing. WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have never riden before start w/ a used small cc bike.
next depenson the kind of riding you want to do.
personally i like to go a fast as possible while draging my knee on the ground. but i enjoy the 6 hour sunday cruise up the coast too (except theres no coast in AZ i'm from cali)

as far as the trend and "american" motorcycle you can't beat
harley davidson.

It has come to my attention rexcently that BMW make a excellent motorcycle. not only in comfort but reliabilty and power also
(definetly a great touring/adventure motorcycle)

and the sport side you have imports (honda yamaha suzuki kawasaki) if thats what you are thinking about start out w/ a used 600cc

remeber everyone crashes eventually

Cigar-noob and Railed, welcome. Railed, I went from a Honda CBR crotch rocket to a chopper. I never thought I would ride a HD or chopper, but they are fast too!

I'm With Capt on that one....it may not be a super sport bike, but 90mph on ANY bike feels FAST!...hehe Welcome to the board! nice to have another rider on here too

Never said they weren't fast lol
but the bikes are like night and day. i mean your not gonna take your harley to the track and try to drag your knee but then again who wants to do 2000 miles hunched over a gas tank on a sport bike when you could be comfortable on a cruiser. It just depends on the kind of riding you want to do.

what kind of HD you got?

Welcome everyone!

railed....I see you like arrogant Bastard ale....

that and runination are on my top 5 beers...

Yes

Hi Everyone,

My name is Brian and it's a pleasure to read this forum. I'm a 36yr old, USMC veteran currently living in South Natick, MA.

I've always enjoyed the sights and smells of cigars and pipes and I took the plunge three years ago by walking into a nearby shop where the cranky owner didn't want to be disturbed by a n00b.

I stuck with Maduro's - mainly RyJ's - for almost two years; I enjoyed their mild flavor and pleasant feel.

I've recently started visiting a different store and asked to get into a more powerful and robust smoke. Last night I tried a "La Aroma de Cuba" and it knocked me on my ass. I'm still feeling the affects this morning. Well, I asked for it.

My vices are poker, cigars, and scotch; I'm an avid sailor and classical music nut.

Take care and,

Semper Fidelis

Welcome to the forum, Vegas!

First advice, get a BIG humidor! You're going to need it since you've found this forum!

Second advice, start saving for another BIGGER humidor! :)

What else do you like to smoke? Try a 5 Vegas Series A, or Onyx Reserve Mini Belicoso. Great smokes.

I'm not new to the Amback Forums, but I am new to cigars and this forum, so allow me to introduce myself a bit. My name is Mike, and I'm a cantankerous old :!: .

I work as the technical support manager for Microlon, makers of such things as Gun Juice and various engine and metal treatments.

Recently, I started reading this forum, and have been lured to the smokey side by the lot of you. During the past week I bought a 300 cigar humidor, and ordered some smokes from Cigar.com and a couple other places. Cigars I ordered are Cusano 18 Double Conn. (box of 18 ), Onyx Reserve Mini Belicoso (box of 20), and a sampler pack of random smokes.

I look forward to spending my last few remaining dollars on cigars and bigger and better humidors, then smoking my cares and troubles away while reading this forum and dodging bill collectors.

Welcome to the cigar side Mike.. I have read some of our posts on the coffee and tea forum. Glad you decided to join us here...not that we are hurting for cantankerous old :!: 's....LOL

BTW, great choices for your first? sticks, some of my favorites in there

Not my very first, but very near it. I picked up a couple of overpriced cigars at a liquor store this week. Not bad smokes, but certainly not worth what I paid. I actually based my purchase decisions on what I've read here, and I hope to learn more as time goes by.
