new to the board

hi all. just found out about this place from a relative. I'm currently a mechanic for Caterpillar, though in another life I belonged to the US Army. Married, no kids. Hobbies include competitive shooting, hunting, fishing, and a passion for photography. Cigars and more recently a pipe have been a vice of mine for about 8 years now. It could be worse I guess. I particularly like a mild to medium bodied csmoke such as the Saint Louis Rey or the Rocky Patel 1990. Glad to be here and regards to all.

Welcome to all the new guys. This is a great forum with some very knowledgeable people (I'm not one of them) who don't mind sharing there expertise, so don't hesitate to ask questions. Jump in on the PIF and Fun & Games threads. Its a great way to get to know people and and swap some sticks (and some BS.)

Matt, enjoyed the visit this weekend, its nice when the whole fam can get together, it doesn't happen often enough.

It is to be hoped that your control of your trigger exceeds that of your mouse!

Impatience, especially when one is on a dial-up connection, often leads to double posts. It is why there is a Delete and Edit button, and why it is a good policy to review your posts after you "Submit" them.

Yo Brad. thanks for the heads up on this site, it's great. I agree that it doesn't happen often enough. why don't all of you move up here?

rmrdaddy, if CAT makes it I'll work on it. I work for a CAT dealer here in OK. I specifically am a powertrain specialist. I build differentials, transmissions and such. I do a LOT of D8's and 9's as well as a lot of 11's and mining trucks.

Not my grand-dad's smoke's

Just started this new vice, thanks to some friend's from California. We met in Vegas back in March after 25 year's of not seeing each other at all. I was offered a cigar and I told them I didn't smoke cigar's, and didn't see how any-one could. I just remember grand-pa smoking Dutchmasters I think. Man those were nasty.
So they talk me into one," Rocky Patel Connecticut," I have been hooked since.
This site has taught me so much about good "sticks" and I appreciate all who reply here. I didn't know it mattered how you lit your smoke.
Any way as a everyday cigar I enjoy the c.com cuban label.
thanks

The first this I have to say is welcome to the forum. The second thing I have to say is it's not a vice but a hobby. Third thing I have to say is PM me your addy and I'll send you a 'welcome' package to show u what goood cigars taste like!!!

I'm waitin
