hey everyone,

im Eric, and i am 17. I am very new to cigar smoking. I can remember that my first cigar a friend had recomended to me when he was buying his was the Romeo y Julieta Churchhill. I have had a few others, like ashtons churchhill. I tend to like cigars with more of a harsh flavor but when buying, I still have no idea what to get because there is so much. If anyone has any info or advice they can give me pm me. I hope to learn a lot here.

Eric

Hi Eric and welcome to the zoo. You've come to the right place to learn about cigars - huge combined knowledge base here. I've been here about 3 months and still learn something new just about every day. Its a wild ride, so strap in, hang on and enjoy. Oh, by-the-way, I don't know if you have a humidor or not but if you don't, you will need to get one and if you have one, you will need to get a bigger one. Trust me.

Welcome to the forum, Eric!

Like everyone says, bigger is better! (humidors)

But now that you've found this forum, bigger won't be enough... you'll need the BIGGEST humidor you can afford (include your current life savings).

Have fun trying out various cigars. Although you like harsh cigars, don't be afraid to try out mild-medium cigars too. The flavors may astound you.

Experiment with different cigars. And have fun!

Welcome to the forum, fsp923! Don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have.

I really like the 5 Vegas As, Cusano 18, Cusano Corojo, Camacho Coyolar, CAO l'anniversaire, La Gloria Cubana Serie R. Maduros, Arturo Fuente Hemingways and tons more.

This could be a bad pastime, I'm love military firearms and by default am a hoarder. Started cigars in Cancun, when that b!tch Wilma threatened to kill me (Had a few Cubans before going to shelter) I had never smoked before, 2 weeks ago I had this craving and found a fix with a CAO CX2. I've found a lot of closet cigar smokers at work and whole new avenues have opened. Sharing a cigar w/ a friend is great, and sipping a cocktail while puffing away is very nice. Very fond of Partagas and CAO Brazillia's

Majik,
Welcome to the fold!
You seeem to have gravitated to a great smoke, there are many fans of the CAO products here in general, and the CX2 in particular.

So pull up a chair, relax with a smoke and a "beverage" and join in the fracas!!!! :D

Speaking of military arms and hoarding...
I just received my C&R license yesterday. Know of any good deals on anything I just "have to have"..... :ar15:

RMRDADDY,

Finn M-39 from AIM, used a hand select VKT 1944 in the first match of the season using Polish ammo, scored 6 X's w/tangent iron sights  Thanks for the welcome to the cigar forum. I just bought a humidor from cheaphumidor.com, hope to get it seasoned a not to filled up! Has anyone tried the "Honduran Cream" from CI? They look like they might be a nice long walk cigar?

Hard to say Majik. I'd rather spend a little more and get something from a know manufacturer. Nothing worse than spending money, except for spending money on something you end up hating afterwards.
You'd want to take a long walk with a great cigar, am I right on that?
Keep posting with us, and check out the Pay It Forward thread. Maybe we can get you involved, and get you turned on to some new sticks...

I'd like to see you grab a CI Taster Pack, or a Top Tier Sampler
or one of the samplers from http://www.cigar.com .

AIM still have those Finns?

Finns are in the gun show circuit now :( , I'll have to check the pass it foward thread. Thanks

Hi all! My name is Dave. I'm 31 years of age and I have a beautiful wife. I have been enjoying cigars for years now, but it has been really a "once-in-a-while" thing. Since I met my wife, cigars have become more of a passion. My father-in-law is an avid lover of cigars. It was the one thing that he and I bonded on. Every time we smoke, he gives me a great history lesson on the cigar we are currently enjoying. I found that the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. I now have a 50 count humidor that I am stocking. I smoke about 1-2 cigars per week now and I'm loving every bit of it!

welcome.
you will learn more stuff about cigars here than you thought was possible. between the mods and the posters Im sure that this place knows everything there is to know about cigars.

Thanks! Its funny you should mention a bigger humidor. I am currently refinishing my basement and I have plans to mount a humidor in the wall next to my wine fridge hehe. It'll take a few months, but when I'm done I'll post pictures.
