Hi all you Cigar nuts! Glad to be here, been reading the forum for quite some time, just never took the next step to get involved. Sounds like there are some great fellow smokers here. Be talking with you soon!

Welcome Beaterman, be sure to get involved theres a lot of great people here with a plethera of information. Where abouts in the Sierra Nevada Mountains are you located? I am up north in Redding.

Enjoy,

Rick

Thanks Websmoked! I'm up in Quincy, just south of Lake Almanor. Were practically neighbors! LOL

Quincy? Too cold for me. Always glad to see fellow smokers though. Where do you go for a local smoke shop? Chico or what? Don't have any good ones around me, I have too drive to Sac to go to a good one.

I usually go to one in Reno that I like, but due to the drive , I usually order from cigar.com. I'm actually going to be in Sac next week for two weeks, think you could let me know where a good shop is there? Maybe the one you like? I better start saving up, I tend to go a little nuts when I get the rare expeirence of actually being in a good shop!

There's been quite a few new people posting on the board. Welcome to all of you! If you haven't posted on this thread yet to introduce yourself, please do. We'd love to hear more about you. :)

Beaterman, When I am in Sac I usally go to The Briar Shop in the Arden Fair Mall. Prices are a bit steap but they have a pretty good selection. There is also one in old town but the selection varies from time to time. There is also a Tinder Box in the sunrise mall in Citrus Heights but I have not been there in many years.

Newbie here! Reside in Salt Lake City. Yep, believe it or not..... there's aficiconado's in the salty city. And, for the record, since you'll ask, one wife.

Only one wife? Dang!

Welcome brother look forward to hearing more from you in the future!

Would you really want more women telling you how to run your life and do errands. One is enough for me.

A belated welcome all you new guys, it's good to have you. This place is where I have learned a ton of knowledge and made some good friends. Jump right into the PIF and Fun and Games threads, they are a great way to sample some new cigars.

That's funny the remark about more wives, after watching that Big Love show on HBO I thought to myself, "who the hell would want all that drama?"

(sorry this was originally posted elsewhere, my bad, didn't see the sticky)

about me:
I'm in Seattle, a Photoshop jocky by trade, musician by calling, film buff by practice.

about me and cigars:
After a sampling of Swishers in my youth, and Backwoods (which I admittedly still like alright), in my ... not so youth ... I found myself getting into quality cigars just recently. And as will happen, a minor obsession formed. Being the geek I am I've been tracking my smokes (in a program called Cigar Trakker) and keeping my bands. So far, I find myself into Robusto sizes, and medium strengths. The La Perla Black Pearl Rojo has rated highest out of the ones I've smoked. Right now my "humidor" is tupperware, but a real cedar one is on the way.

about me and drink:
I do like some coffee and booze as well.

And that's the gist.

Hi.

I never post in here because I don't smoke but I just wanted to point out that Brennivin is some of the vilest alcohol known to man. I was roaring drunk during a game of Bragis Cup last summer when a good friend broke out a bottle he'd picked up in Iceland, and even in my extreme drunkeness, I found it to be horrible. Just wanted to share that. :D

Heathen.

It's definitely its own critter, but I LOVES it. And really wish I could buy it here. :(

Yes, I'm a Heathen, and a proud one at that!

If you're ever near Montana, I'm sure my good friend would give you the rest of the bottle. While you're at it, you could sample some of the many home brews my good Asatru friends made. The herbal wines, meads, and hard lemonade (it drinks like Mikes, but its 20% alcohol  ) are all favorites.
