PA/NJ/MD/VA Sitdown thread

AC sounds nice, but like it has been said, anywhere reasonable sounds good. I would have to get permission from household six to do an overnighter though, all you military guys should know what that terminology means.

LOL...Craps is my friend as well!! There you go, I understand that some will need permission for an overnighter, hell depending on how things go, we maybe able to get a groups rate depending on numbers....My wife will be coming!

Not much going on in CI unless it has changed. Was there three yeras ago and it's pretty much just a big shop.

i call the floor outside of eclipse's room in AC! Anyone can join me as long as they don't mind sleeping in spilled beer and ash.

I just ask that eclipse please wake me up in the morning with a swift kick to the torso, thanks in advance.

I will probably sleep in the bar - with frequent trips to the bathroom and craps table (no pun intended).

What would the dates be like. I'm assuming a weekend since we all have to work to support our hobby. Sept. or Oct. or maybe even later?? Not suggesting anything, just trying to get a feel of a possible date.

october 15th is the SC sit down so avoid then just in case anyone is coming.

How about early October or November? Shouldn't have the fear of Snow yet and gives everyone some time to save cash for the fun and activities. After we figure the date let's work on numbers, if we figure out a good number of people, we may qualify for a group rate at ceasars or something.

Hey Bildo, For you, I can do that!! Just no puke, beer, ash, we can deal!

kelvin, I see you will be my cohort in craps indulgence!!! I need a High low Yo on come out and a C&E while on the line and all the hard ways!!!!! WoooHooo...

So far, Philly sounds the best to me with AC as a close second. Philly is a 5 hour drive from Pittsburgh (+/- an hour depending how much lead is in your foot - I do it in closer to 4 hours). Atlantic City is another hour or so on top of that and Ocean City MD is almost 7 hours (according to MapQuest). There are 4 of 'Burghers - me, Ravyn, Vince, and RazorKing. All of us have expressed an interest in going. If we're doing AC, then checking for group rates could be helpful.

And yeah, running this by the woman will definitely be necessary though she'll probably want to come too...

Oh - I've never been to AC and I've never played craps, so we may need a little tutoring...

Eclipse - I broke out into a sweat when I read your craps comment - you have know idea how much I love a good crap table. I haven't played much recently but back in the day, oh yeah.

SWEET!! I always have the best luck when mentoring a newbie...though usually it's a woman... ...Anyhow, I think for Burghers, if you are going to come all this way, AC is the better of the two. For another hour on the road, there is much more to do, and, still get the benefits of a cigar sit down!

IMHO of course! :D

   :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: We are in trouble my friend! I love craps, I think there is nothing on this earth more exciting then a craps table with the rail full of enthusiastic people, and a roller who has been up and down 10+ times and the big dogs keep pressing the bets and the rails fill up!!!! *SHaking* Ok, I need a cold shower!...LMAO

I've been looking on Travelocity and Expedia and so far I've found the Fairfield in for $149 a night in October and it drops to $109 in November. Its still 5 miles from the casinos though. I'll keep looking at other dates and closer to the casinos.

Early November sounds good, then I could put a little away each pay check for the gambling! Atlantic City does offer group rates, especially at Showboat and Trump Marina. There is a new wing in Tropicana that is Cuban themed and a nice resteraunt called Cuba Libre, maybe not a good place for a sit down as it does get very crowded fast. The Borgota and Trump Marina is a 10 minute car ride from the boardwalk but I prefer both, when I stay there. Marina is the cheaper of course. The Tropicana do have some very good specials on rooms, but you gotta keep checking the website for that "one good deal".

Well, if my wife comes, you can mentor her (watch those hands  ) and I'll just be a not-so-innocent bystander...

I agree - the only bad thing about AC is that I have to leave the guns at home - stupid NJ...

Damn this reminds me of my bachelor party - 15 guys in AC - I taught half to play that night. Charles Barkley was at the next table - I think AC could work!

LOL! I threw dice all night with Bruce Willis and this fine woman he had with him!! This was in Vegas, but he refused a VIP table, he just wanted to throw some dice. Was a s**itload of fun! He was a very nice person, and won me about 4K that night! Anyhow, I agree with everything USMC and Cybrus had to say...stupid NJ on the gun policy, and USMC I think had some really good thoughts on lodging. If someone lets me know where the place to stay is, I can call around and see what kinda group rates they may offer and how many people we will need. That's the only thing I see us getting smashed on is the amount of people we will have.

I'll give it hell though!

Paul

PS- Cybrus, your woman is as safe with me as with you, no worries man, fellow burghers gotta take care of each other....We're in Eagle territory if you know what I mean!!
