PA/NJ/MD/VA Sitdown thread

I would love to join everybody for a cigar. A chance to meet some of you. I live in jersey and could get to any of these locations easily. Just let me know the day, and I should be able to make it.

I am going to attend the SC sit down on October 15th. If you make it sometime in November, I can go. I do need to know soon, our vacation picks are up in a couple weeks. I would love to meet the "east coast clan", I have met the "midwest clan", and hopefully this winter, I can meet the "west coast clan". Ryan

I say let's book it for the first weekend in November!! I will call around to the casino's as well as the places USMC mentioned and see what we can arrange for a deal. Just to put everyone on the same page, the will be November 5&6 Saturday and Sunday, I may go as far as Friday night the 4th as well and see what kinda deal they will cut for late arrival!!

I need the following:
How many people are certain they can make it, I understand this is early, but i think those of us in the position can commit, those who cannot I will count as possibles, but since we are looking for group rates, it's importatnt we represent our selves seriously.

How many people would be coming in on Saturday and how many would shoot for Friday.

Opinions on the following:
When Malone and I were planning the Maryland sitdown we thought it would be fun for everyone to bring a box of their favorite sticks and a bottle of their favorite beverage (wine, booze, or if beer, at least a six pack!) The thought, At the end of the night, everyone goes home with a bottle and a box of something they didn't come with. Don't know if people would be interested in that, so I throw it out for discussion.

My wife and I are already in, Barring something crazy she and I are both very excited to meet everyone and enjoy some gambling and fun!

Smoking a Cuaba Enjoying the thoughts of us terrorizing AC,

Count me in, Ill probably bring the wife, (by popular demand). I would like to ride the chopper down, but if its cold here, Im gonna trailer it. Not much of a gambler, do that enough when I ride around here. But, count me in!!!!
Ryan

Damn....He's got a chopper too! You just have it all don't ya! Can't wait brother, missed you and the little lady in Chi-town!!

Oh ya, For all who come, either PM or post your price ranges per night. Keep in mind we are in AC, the rooms will be 100+ a night, so if money is tight, we can work on rooming together for those who can.

Ill show ya a pic:

Sorry if I'm thread jacking.

P.S. Hopefully I can get you all some pics of the wife on it. Just dont tell. Any requests for an outfit, besides hooter's?? lol

P.P.S. Ignore my "sons" puberty. I just noticed it after I posted.

Nice bro...Very nice! I was hoping to pick up a new scoot here next year. I haven't owned a street bike in a long time! Dirt bikes have been all I keep around, but soon, I will hook myself up with a custom built chopper...Maybe an OCC, went up and toured their new facility in May... I'll keep hoping. Honestly man, I don't make requests for how a mans wife should look. Judging by what I've seen of her, she's a beauty no matter what she wears, better yet, she's got great taste in men by marrying you! You have many blessings my friend, Share with us what you will!

:)

OCC bikes are EXPENSIVE. Over 75,000. I got a good deal on mine, although the HD warranty was was thrown out the window as soon as the motor was built. I am giving that one to the wife, so I can built my own, from frame up. Once again, sorry to thread jack. Hope to see eveyone in.......where ever it is going to be.

Ya well, Ya only live once right!? Can't take it with you, might as well enjoy it while your here!! MAN WHO DIES WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS!!!!!

End of threadjack!

Eclipse, the wifey and I will definatley be there. I already have a room, no matter what the dates. (a comp from last time I won there!) I will let you know about more some friends a lil later, but I'm sure they will take care of their own room. There are cheaper hotels about 20 min from the boardwalk in AC. I am a=going to be working 16 hour days until saturday, I will try my best to get more info to you.

Scott

Ya, but sheesh, we're in AC! It's the east's Vegas, gotta at least stay near the action! Great to hear you guys are in, where did you get the comp? How is AC compared to Vegas for comping if you know? In vegas, if you cash in for 1500 or so, it's pretty much a room comp and free meals (and not the buffet) at least in my humble experience. I have been fortunate in vegas, I've never won a boat load, but I have always done well.

I hit a slot machine for $3500 on my way out last time, here they came with my complimenatary drink, and a voucher to come back for a night for free in Showboat. I called Trump Marina and do not have enough for rooms for other people let alone myself otherwise I would've done that. I treated some friends earlier this summer.

I've been to Vegas three times and I love it. You can't compare it to Vegas by no means, you'll see why. Two entirely different places. They are tryinf to attract a younger crowd to AC now, instead of having all the retired people go down by the bus loads.

The comps do include the buffets in most places, best buffet is at the Taj Mahal in AC. Pick up a comp card in whatever casino you stay in, because you'll never know!

My wife and I are in - we'll take a room and if people need to crash, go for it!

As for the 'bring a box and a bottle', I can definitely bring a bottle, don't know if I could swing a whole box of the good stuff too - but at least a decent selection of sticks...

Right On!! Good good good. Now I know I've spoken with a few people about rooms and it seems like many will take care of it themselves. Do we want to organize and try for a group rate in the casino hotels? Or should we just go our own ways and set up an agenda that everyone can meet up somewhere and go from there?

Regards,
Paul

Oh ya, Bob, November 5th and 6th, I maybe looking at the 4th as well, but I don't expect everyone to be able to get there Friday night.

I think it would probably be best to let everyone make their own arrangements - that way they can decide between price and distance from the casinos. Besides, I don't know if we'll get enough for real group rates - the places I was looking at required a 15 room minimum, plus deposits up front and one even required that your group arrive in a chartered motor coach...

My wife and I will try to take that Monday off. But either way, we'll be heading out early Saturday morning since we're looking at a 6 to 7 hour drive.

Misa & I will be staying at either Ceasers or Ballys as I try to spend money at the same place every year - that way it connects with Vegas as well.
I am looking forward to this - up here that is snow season so
unless we get three feet of snow I am a GO!
(ort the wife says no = like 3 feet of snow)
But she LOVED AC so I see no problems!

Wow!
big and busy thread.

Can't guarantee anything at this point. Leaving for my 2nd vaca on saturday...prolly will be low on funds till after Christmas. Will have to play it by ear.

I'm up for having everyone find their own rooms because I know money is tight for myself. Maybe we could have two groups, one group that stays at the casino, and one that stays at a cheaper, off site hotel. Just a thought to throw out there.

I doubt you'll need to be 18 - probably just need a valid credit card to reserve the room...
