Cybrus and Vince both have good taste in scotch. Two they forgot is The Abalour Abounah which is a cask strength. very smooth very good $54. And a Glen Garoich $24.
Martin,

At $24, I assume that would be Glen Garioch 10? Have you had the 15? To me, noticably different (not just older) - I prefer the 15.

I wish the A'Brunda was only 54 bucks, here in the Pa state run monopoly it is $69.99, from 54 to 70 bucks , lets see thats about 16 bucks, wait let me check that on the abacus , yep 16 , dammmm thats 2 good cigars or 4 average cigars or 16 crappy cigars hahahahaha

Ok I'll chime in 7 months late.... I'm an Islay fan myself. Have you tried the Bunnahabhain 12yr?

I pulled the cork on the Bowmore Legend, Dammm fine Islay malt & under 30 Bucks a bottle , how ever the Abrunda is still in my top 3, Enjoy, Vince

Sweet - I'll have to check that one out Vince! I think I can slide a $20ish bottle past the wife without too much of a complaint!

Good? VERY GOOD!

I don't particularly like the 12 yr, but the 21 is very good! And my birthday isn't until March.

I pulled the cork on a Glenfarclass 105 Cast strength, @60% , thats 120 proof or better, a few drops of water in the snifter, swirl it & dump it out like the vermoth in a martini, fire up a Padron 64 Anniv. Principe natural & a big mug of Purvanian coffee roasted just past medium & not quite dark, dammmmm the taste buds were doing Back flips !!!!sad night , its all gone, need to get an other bottle !

Enjoy, Vince

Sounds fantastic Vince! I'm kicking back this evening with a mug of Tanzanian Peaberry - no cigar tonight, but hopefully find time for one this week.

Uhhhhhh Vince, as you know, I'm always looking for new coffee experiences. Could you tell me where to find Purvania on the map?

I knew it was some thing like that , Thanks

I've tried Macallan 12 and have enjoyed it. Should I get a bottle or pony up and get a bottle of the 18 instead. I've tried the 12 neat, with water, and with ice, and have enjoyed it each way. Just haven't had the 18 yet.

the 18 is mellow & smooooooth, like liquid toffee!!!

Vince, what are your impression on Johnnie Walker Black as a starting point for getting into scotch?
