Vince you can pick up some half way decent refurbished computers on Newegg for less than a repair may cost. The two apparent contestants for president are not my cup of tea, but I will not vote for that loose cannon carnival barker phony.

The two apparent contestants for president are not my cup of tea, but I will not vote for that loose cannon carnival barker phony.

witch one is that ? they are both phoney and full of them selves, the thing I have against killory is her entire life from Watergate where she was fired for ethics violations , to today when she says we didn't loose anyone in Seriia , I guess she forgot about the AMBASIDOR and 3 Navy Seals , both her & bill have had there law licence revoked, as well as obummer and his wife, , I think I just might go for the Libertarian party , if they get on the November ballot, they are poling at 10 % right now & if they get 15% they can be on all 50 states ballots

good morning it is sunday 5/29/16 a HOT HUMID day here in da Burgh,,,, NO HUNK O BEEF TODAY AMEN
chicken on the grill with corn on the cob & grilled stuffed zuccunni

I am getting a long in the tooth, I have gone back & was reading the old postings , some semed fresh & exciting but way to many were BORING & repetitive , full of bad grammer and spelling, that will not chage ( the grammer & spelling) but I nhope to get some thing NEW to talk about But at my advanced age, there isn't much new in my life , I am an old tired Vet , who enjoys doing the same old same old....

OK lets get the BS out of the way & see if I can think of anything new... right now I got Nothing , but maybe some thing will come up before I get finished...
Breakfast was a BOB , Breakfast On Bun , a Grilled oversized bagel , swiss cheese, bacon, egg ,tomato & BBQ sauce.

the coffee was an ethopian estate, medium dark roast , & now I have a mug of Cold brewed Columbian ,,, just dump the course gound coffee in a pot of cold water & let them
sit on the counter all night, , run it through a filter& drink it , the press pot is broke & I didn't get a chance to replace it .
the shop did pick up a bit on Friday , had a great day sales wise , and was able to drink a little scotch , a lot of coffee & eat a bit of deep fried fish . & was able to get out early.... (anything before 11 PM is early for me on a Friday ) .. I was HOME at 11:09 , it is a 20/25 minute drive!!!!

the grandsons will both be here this summer, #1 is coming home from Columbia SA , then #2 graduates from HS on 6/11.... the same day as the Cigar crawl. I am missing the morning & will catch up with the bus at lunch I hope.....

right now I have a few things to get done outside, like a cigar and some coffee, OH DAMMM forgot, I did go to a buddy's house yesterday , & we opened a Bottle of UTOPIOUS by Sam Adams, smoked a UTOPIOUS infused cigar, & it was not as bad as I thought it might be, the cigar not the libation.... a bit on the sweet side but with a snifter of the EXTREAMLY DARK beer it was a nice counter point.
I have a Don Carlos #3 calling me, so I better get going Enjoy, Vince

I don't know where you got your information, Vince, but no one has taken away the licenses to practice law from either Hillary Clinton or the Obamas. Hillary's licence expired in 2002 and she didn't renew it.

it is official last Friday I retired from the cigar shop... NO more work ,,, till my wife tells me to get out of the house again hahaha , this was the third retirement,,, & I hope the last,,,,, More later I gotta go have a smoke

Good afternoon/evening, I have recovered from a week of retirement and a weekend of the 18th Cigar crawl... got home about 2:30 AM , glad I didn't drive hahaha,
the day started out with HS graduation for the youngest grandson, then catching up to the crawl buss at Lunch, I did miss a few stops but made up for it at lunch and the bar....... slept in a bit today got up after 10AM and had a piece of cherry pie for breakfast, jump in the car & head to New Castle Pa for a little post crawl herf & coffee , met up with about 20/25 others from the crawl. ,,, smoked a few sticks , drank a lot of coffee and had a smoked salmon hogey & a lot of hand shaking ,hugs & good buys till next crawl......
I did grill 2 porterhouse for supper today, with mushrooms, Onions & zuccunni . wish I had a beer with it but the coffee was good ,
Next on my agenda today, a nap then a cigar in the car on the way to CharBuCk$ , with a short ride & listen to the local Oldies station and sing along with the do-wop artistes of the 50's , , ,
Got to do some thing tonight as the hockey game will be on TV and even though I am from Pittsburgh and the Penguins are in the Stanley cup playoffs and could win the cup tonight I don't think I will be watching . just cant get into watching sports on the tube anymore, & that includes baseball, foot ball, basketball, tennis , bowling & gulf,,,,, if there isn't music, cigars coffee & booze , count me out ! hahahaha

Enjoy, Vince

good morning it is Sunday 6/19/16 a hot humid day here in da Burgh. yesterday was my grandsons graduation party , a great time for all , the summer spent working at K mart & back to school in the fall a computer science major at Beaver County Community, 2 years there & a transfer to Penn State , that s the plan so lets see in 2 years whats up......
Breakfast on a bun , grilled English muffin, swiss cheese, bacon, egg ,tomato,,and a dab of mustard .... the coffee is pot of American blends, most central American with some south American coffees , a few beans from some of the islands , a real hodge podge of coffees, some light roast some medium and a smattering of dark roast. never to be enjoyed again .
this is the start of the third week of retirement....... a work in progress,,,, no idea how it will turn out.
I have a slab of ribs on the grill LOW AND SLOW , should be ready about 4 , no idea what the sides will be , yet.
looks like the Don Carlos #3 has started to call me all ready , gotts go answer the call Enjoy, Vince

Good morning it is Sunday6/26/16 a hot humid day here in da Burgh , looking at a high of 90+ F today , all ready it is in the low 80's and the humidity is high , I just went out to the Qtr.Deck to turn on the A/C , it was 87 inside . I have no plans for much movement outside today , other than a nice set of Porterhouse steaks and a baked spud all done on the grill , & that is about the total I will be outside other that a quick walk from the house to the Qtr.Deck witch will take a few seconds ,,, Breakfast was a bagel with salmon , cream cheese and tomato , a pot of Columbian AA ..... I did make a small batch of cold water Kona , ,2.5 ounces by weight, 28 fluid ounces of water , let it set one day , & drain it through a filter & enjoy the room temp coffee, I didn't use the press pot this week, I have no idea why , I just didn't do it .
this is the third week of retirement, ....... haven't figured out if its good or bad yet. , I did roll a hundred cigars for a wedding yesterday & there was a Jazz & wine fest at a local park & I rolled cigars for that event, , so I have been a little busy but not so much as I didn't have to deal with customers or a cash regester , just one cigar a 7.5 by 50 , Conn. wrapper for the wedding , but for the jazz fest I did 3 different wrappers, a conn. a Cameroon & a maduro. ,,, next event.. ONE WRAPPER , take it or leave it , , so many stupid questions , why are they all different colors is one better , why are they so fat , do you have anything smaller, , and one JACKASS had a cigar in one hand and a menthol cigarette in the other & was inhaling both at the same time, ,, he liked infused cigars , I DONT. well he made one of my hand rolled into a flavored piece of crap. , every one has there own tastes, but I don't need to approve , I get paid one way , & that is selling the cigars, what they do after the sale is none of my worries.

My grandson will be HOME this Thursday , he has spent 2 years in Cucata Columbia SA total time with a small break in the middle when he was here earning some cash to live on when he went back. I guess living in a third world enviorement has changed his mind , the first year he was with a well to do family, complete with a private room & maid, , now he is living with the not so well off sharing a bathroom & kitchen with 3 others in a 4 plex apartment, , every one has there own bed room but one kitchen for all 4 apts. ,,, NO hot water, no A/C , mail delivery is a few times a week , if at all. way to many packages just never make it ......

grandson #2 is enjoying his new found freedom of graduation from HS, working , & spending time with his girl friend, who he works with , ,,,,,, how long this will last ?????

I have NOTHING to do other that cook today, , looks like it is about time to fire up a cigar & check out my handy work from yesterday & see how some of the left over cigars smoke..... Enjoy, Vince

Good morning it is Sunday7/10/16 a warm windy humid day here in da Burgh , Retirement is great ..... end of story, it has been about one month since I retired,,,,, and after a few exchanged words with the boss , everything is fine, I know I have invaded her space & am underfoot , but I stay out of her way now, don't touch the TV during the day , & have made friends with the rabbits in the yard, I get out and stay out of her way , sitting on the deck watching the grass grow & her cutting it !!! , My stash of cigars is dwindling , my supply of scotch is getting low, the coffee seams to be holding at about 5 pounds of green ready to roast beans and about 3 pounds roasted , I have a mug of Zimbabway estate coffee right now , with the JBM in the press pot & it has been there since Noon yesterday..... a 24 hour soak in cold water, & we will see what we get..... , the Manditory hunk O beef is in the oven ,,,, even on a hot day the Boss wants what the boss wants so , the boss gets ! , I would be happy with a ham & swiss on rye with dark mustard today ...... food is a means to keep up your strength, hahaha , NOT..... I enjoy the flavors & the prep & the consumption.

picked up 2 Irish single malts & one from India last night, had a wee dram of the India ,,, it is a touch on the sweet side & a different take on the main stream Barley based Whiskys of Scotland & Ireland , not as well done as the Japaneese Whiskys , but drinkabillty wise it should match well with a light or medium cigar,,,,, I haven't paired it with any coffee yet, but I am leaning to a dark roast Middle east or Indian Monsoon .

we went out for sushi last night , the boss will eat it if it is cooked ,,,, so the chef sliced a piece of Wagu Beef paper thin & popped it in the toaster over for a few seconds with some seasonings & veggies , made her a nice roll of rice & beef, peppers & onion , kind of his rendition of a Philly Cheesesteak. it was a hit , I had the Tuna , salmon, shrimp, & smoked eel Negeri style, I am not a fan of cream cheese or avocado with raw fish, a little cucumber on the side with ginger is OK and the Wasabi mixed with soy is a great touch to the fish....

the grandsons are fine, both working and heading to school in the fall

as far as the political race ,,,, I have no comment, Other than.......
IS THIS THE BEST WE CAN GET?

as an advocate of the freedoms we enjoy in the country we live in I am reminded of the words of ben franklin, for those who trade security for safety deserve neither ,,, or words to that effect, I would need to look it up as my memory is failing me now
it breaks down to this, If you want to be safe you give up your liberty of freedom, living behind a locked door is not my idea of a life, I will take my chances going where I want to go when I want , I will not be Dictated by some stranger who thinks they can run my life, better than I can run it myself....

end of sermon , time for a cigar & a mug of coffee, & maybe a wee dram hey its 5PM some place ... Enjoy, Vince

[good afternoon. Dammm this retirement has me forgetting what day and time it is right now it is 4:30 pm we just finished a pork roast on the grill will baked spuds and zucchini, I did make some baked peaches but was to full to eat them,

It is a nice warm day there in da burgh, low eighty's low humidity and a very light breeze, the wind chimes are hitting here and there , I have yet to put on a shirt today and if I don't go to charbuck.s I don't think I will.
I am sitting on the back deck with a litto Gomez toro haven't picked up the lighter yet just chewing it a bit, I haven't been on the computer for a day or so but I am on my tablet out here on the back deck, typing with one finger as I need to hold this dam thing in the other, my thoughts come fast and I don't type fast so if I get confused well nothing new about that,.

I haven't been doing much of anything other than turning coffee and scotch into urine, my new past time.

How did I ever find time to go to work?????
I did go to the oncologist Monday ,got a clean bill of health, kidney and liver function s are good all I can say to my liver and kidneys is keep up the good work fellas your going to get a workout this week, picked up a bottle of Amarut single malt whisky from India,,,,,, I have wanted to try it sorry I did. It's not bad just OK money could have been spent on Irish ,Welsh or even Taiwanese , I did see one from France but it was done in a sweet wine cask, I am not a fan of sweet whisky . Anything from Islay is at the top of my list. This time of the year I do go a lighter way ,not as much smoke or peat in the weee dram .I also picked up a rum cask Irish whisky at the same time ,,,,, zero for two. The only thing that saved the day was !a bottle of pogue Irish whisky so one for three is OK just OK we finished the India whisky Friday night at the shop , enough people there tryed it so I didn't need to finish it my self, some of them liked it some didn't, some would drink rubbing alcohol . hopefully we will finish the rum cask Irish on Tuesday, right now I have a snifter of accentuation low land scotch this damm auto correct is pissing me off I spelled it correctly as I have the bottle sitting here, it keeps changing it , I need the help sometimes but when you go back three times and it still changes it I give up.

Last night we went for a cigar ride I smoked a r&j maduro that lasted all evening over one hundred miles of going no place fast ,mostly two lane blacktop roads stayed away from the interstates , set the cruise on Forty five and went north, then west then southeast and home , stopped at charbucks and a gas station much later to get rid of the charbucks after filtering it through my kidney s
Got home in time for the news at eleven.an end to an excellent week! . Time to pick up the lighter recut the soft end of the cigar and enjoy what's left of the day. Enjoy, vince

I saw you going south with this retirement. I still can't figure out how I worked, coached baseball and basketball, mowed the lawn and cared for a big garden- but dammit- I still know what day it is.

Good morning it is Sunday 7/24/16 a Hazy hot and Humid day here in da Burgh, a high forcast of the low to mid 90's with a heat index of trippple digets
I plan on a day IN the Qtr.Deck the A/C is all ready on , the booze will be very limited as well as the coffee but the water will flow for sure , I did finish the morning pot of monsoon coffee from India , have the cold water press pot of Kona brewing since last night & only did 8 cups instead of the regular 12.... , got to leave a little room for the water......
breakfast started out the day a cheese & bacon scrambled egg sandwich with tomato on a slice of 12 grain bread , I don't plan on any lunch today just staying hydrated , I do PLAN on staying away from the Booze till after sundown,,,,,, that might prove to be a hard thing to do !
I plan on a salad for supper today , the veggies at the farmers market were great looking & I don't want to heat up the kitchen , & its to hot to cook outside , & I feel LAZY , so I will fall back to the bowl of fresh greens , a bit of tomato, & if I feel up to it I might grate a little cheese in it , I am almost sure I saw a block of pepper jack cheese inn the chill chest. There is a little bit of left over fish from Friday , that MIGHT find its way into today salad,,,, but I haven't thought it all out yet, I might do a quick thaw of some thin sliced Rib Eye & drop that on the lettuce ..... but there are a few boneless pork chops in the freezer as well as some chicken breasts,,,,,,, better ask the boss what she wants and go with that ...... happy wife, happy life.

retirement,,,, a well needed rest at the end of a long life time of work. I thought I might miss the grind , but I don't, I am not 100% sure I want to stay at home all the time I do need to get out and visit some of the cigar shops from time to time , the BS factor needs a bit of practice to keep up the good form . just like playing any game , you need to keep your skills sharp.
its way to hot to go out for a walk in the woods today , I love to listen to the birds early in the morning but today it was a quiet walk for only 4 or 5 minutes & I came back to the A/C ,,,,, time for some Ice coffee & a shower, then to the Qtr.deck and let the Sunday morning smoke get going with a Partagas series D #4 ..... just to shake up the taste buds ! Enjoy, Vince

Good morning it is Sunday 7/31/16 a warm humid day here in da Burgh. , AHHH retirement, a vacation from work, a great way to spend the summer, How ever I have no idea what I will be doing when it gets cold outside as I have been living on my back deck or in the Qtr.Deck since I called it quits ,,,,, I have been rolling cigars here & there , & enjoying some road trips to close cigar shops in and around the Pittsburgh area , turning coffee and whisky into urine has become a new hobby.
I haven't been cooking all that much as it has been hot And both mine and the boss have less of an appitite in the heat.
Breakfast was a leftover clean up of spinach, onion, peppers, bacon , cheese & eggs all done in a loaf pan , I got a little lazy & thought it would be an easy way to cook it as I would not be standing in front of a hot stove, just pop it in the oven & forget all about it till the timer tells me its in the need to be checked & it was just fine, a few sliced tomatoes , a pot of Kona and a slice of 12 grain toast all it needed was a few drops of salsa Verdi , , I have some Cod defrosting for later today , it will be rapped in fillo dough covered with spinach, onion, lemon, and feta cheese , baked with a splash of olive oil, and there might a few pepper Flakes find the packets of fish. , and a little zuccuini on the side ,,,,
That's all I have today, the grandsons are "BUSY" no report on the shop as I haven't been there in over a week , the political arena is a JOKE on both sides , as far as I can see the lesser of to eveils is trump, as I will never vote for killory , not happy with the Donald , and the libeertain Johnson would & might get my vote but I am conflicted as any vote not for trump is one for killory , ,,,,, she talks a good game but unless it is profitable to her she will talk but no action, just like the media , all talk , no action, the FBI , Fools , Bums & Incompetence........
I have a pot of cold brewed Sumatra , a Sumatra wrapped Cigar that I rolled myself with a Great deal of Ligero wrapped in Viso & seco tobacco in a maduro binder ,,,, should be an asskicker , I hope , Enjoy , Vince

Good morning it is Sunday Aug 7,2016 a warm cloudy day here in da burgh, low humidity, a nice breeze out of the SW, just a great summer day, I have an aged Butera clamped in my jaw, a mug of morning joy from a local roaster, sitting on the back deck watching the guy across the road cut his grass! ,I love To watch other people work.
For some reasons I can't get my tablet to go green on my posting, I do have on a green t shirt haha, but that has no reference to my posting as I try to use green type , something left over from my years in sales. Give them a quote in a customized green ink they can't change the price of the quote., This was before computers and everything was written in long hand or typed on a typewriter, btw did you know the longest word you can type using only the top line of the keyboard is typewriter.....bff haha

I spent the last week running all over Gods green earth with my grandson looking for a car for him, he is driving his mother's car and needs his own, he is a nitpicker with a limited budget but great credit he did all his research on line and got it down to a few to go look at ,,,,, he decides to buy the
One that was almost three hours away !!!!!! We made the deal and the 2015 Fiat 500, is now his But we need to go back and pick it up as it needed a few things done to it before it is delivered. So there is an other day shot to go get the car.
On the trip I got 25.5 mpg not to shabby when you are running the interstate at 70+ !!! And the road construction, the d?detours, made for a real fun time as the GPS didn't know about the closed ramps and bridges, so fallow the posted detours and the dammm GPS keeps rerouting , I just shut the dammm thing off. I still like a paper map, it never tells you that you are going the wrong way,

Breakfast was a ham and hot peppers cheese omelet, with fifteen grain bread , what they all are I have no idea but that is what the guy at the bakery said it was , I don't think I can name 15 different grains to bake bread with, what ever they are it was good
I am not cooking today. The wife is going to a baby shower at four, so I am on my own today , I have an idea that it is time for sushi!!!!! Or maybe Thia , maybe Indian, all 3places are in the same general area less than twenty minutes from me, so do I go hot and spicy or just a different form of rice and fish? I will go to the one less crowded!!!!!
It's time for lunch , cheeseburgers and potatoes salad!

Enjoy, Vince

God morning it is Sunday 14 Aug, 2016 Verrry warm & humid day here in da Burgh, we had a heat index of 110 F yesterday, the weather prognostakater tells us todayshould be a bit better with a heat index of only 95 !
it has been a hot & humid all week , heavy rain with thunder & lightning , but nothing like they are getting in the south. the rain only lasted a few minutes each time , lots of early morning fog , & any cigar left outside ends up feeling like a spomge , I got home one night with 3/4 of a churchill still left to smoke, I put it in the ashtray on the back deck & went to bed, got up the next morning , went out to the mail box to get the paper, grabbed the cigar & tryed to light it ,,,, dammm it seamed like it picked up a pound of mositure , burned hot as hell, and had a nasty taste , , I did cut off the burnt end of the cigar , it was a fresh light with out any of the left over ash, but it went back to the ash tray & into the compost pile soon after. right now I am working on a rosado wrapped Fuente magnum , with a pot of Zimbobway roasted to a medium/ dark roast mixed 50/50 brewed in cold water over night . I have been drinking a lot of cold coffee this week, the hitest Jolt did get made in the drip pot but I only made 6 cups of that.... I have a quart of the cold brew ready for today.
breakfast was a grilled english muffin with swiss cheese, tomato , garlic mustard & grilled sweet onion , with bacon, egg & dill relish with fresh rosemarry , FLAVOR BOMB, the taste buds are still dancing, thats why I bypassed the don carloos #3 this morning. , I will be venturing out later today to get the propane refilled for the grill, pick up an anniv. gift for the wife, the 15th will be 46 years....... some how I just dont get it , but shestuck with me,,,, I wonder if there is some thing wrong with her hahahahahaha , , a big celebration is planned, we are going to some place in Ohio, about 2.5 hours from here to pick up a new car for the grandson..... a 2015 left over Fiat 500 electric blue . he found it on line , we made the deal after he drove it , & now we are going back to pick it up. 2.5 hours out, an hour or so to do the paper work. &2.5 hours home,,,, just the way I want to spend my 46th anniv.
went back to the old shop yeaterday had a smoke with the guys , sipped a little coffee, didnt have any booze, its just to dammmmm hot.
politics ,,, is this the best we have to offer the American people a lying bitch and a self promoting real estate mogel.......... surly there had to be some one better......
Enjoy, Vince

Good afternoon, it is Sunday 21 august,2016 a cool overcast windy day here in da Burgh. I got a late start today , a long day yesterday a lot of scotch last night and an order to the boss dont wake me ...... I will get up when I am ready, well it was past nine, I didnt have my morning walk or cigar yet, I didnt cook breakfast for us , as she ate long before I got up & I had a cookie , peach yogurt and coffee , COFFEE & then I had some coffee, & right now I have a Big mug of coffee , good to the last drop EIGHT o'Clock , red bag , made as strong as I could get the coffee in the brew basket, of the drip pot, , after it was done in the drip pot I used the pour over method to enrich the flavor & power, ,,,,,, not as strong as I hoped for but passable, I will be heading to char bucks for a tripple espresso some time soon, I could make it here but I am LAZY and dont want to clean the pot when I finish , so it is , road trip , just 5 minutes away , I will take my cigar with me , sit outside & piss off all the sunday morning/afternoon posers sipping the light roast doubble cream doubble sugar with a shot of cold water in them. ...... I have ribs in the smoker , should be down about 4 PM , I will grill some peppers onions, eggplant & zuccunni , to complement the ribs. I spent most of yesterday at darlington lake rolling cigars , avoiding the sun, & enjoying the BS , and shaking my head at all the first time cigar smokers who tell me about the CUBANS they got for 5 bucks in mexico ....... I just smile & say good for you , and after they walk away , the vets sitting at the table all bust up laughing, I told the one KID , if he paid 5 bucks for real cubans , I would give him 10 for them , IF they were real, what do you mean if they are real, ,, you know not counterfit, , like my Tag/Huwer wrist watch !!!!! hahahaha , A fun day

not much to tell you about at the shop , I dont spend much time there, & the grandsons are Busy , with work and school , right now I am heading to the back deck for more coffee and a cigar before I go to char bucks to annoy the customesrs and staff. , I take a fist full of cigars for the staff & all is well... hahaha Enjoy, Vince

Good morning , it is Sunday 8/28/16 a very warm humid day here in da Burgh. Life is passing by faster and faster each day , seams just like yesterday I was teaching my buddys kid to drive a stick & yesterday he was 45 ,,, makes me feel OLD

Breakfast this morning was a BLT with swiss cheese and an egg, , cant start with out bacon, it just makes the day better , it is almost noon & I havent had my sunday morning cigar yet, looks like it will be a sunday afternoon cigar today.... I have a pair of Porterhouse steaks going on the grill later today, along with a baked peach ( peach pie with out a crust) , some grilled summer squash and maybe a baked potato with some sliced onion and garlic, , just stay up wind of me and you will be safe hahaha,
I picked up a bottle of Stranahans Colorado whisky, a mix of 4 different barleys , a great altenitive to Irish whisky , very simmular in taste and the mouth feel is GRAND, a viscus oily texture that is wonderful with a cup of coffee and a cigar , and speaking of cigars , I am bypassing my standard don Carlos #3 ( not that it is just a standard smoke but MY standard smoke ) and starting the day with a Padron 3000 maduro, the coffee is a Celebeese estate coffee , with a back up pot of an Italian roast 90% Columbia, and 10% Robusto beans from Mexico, almost an espresso recipe, , I want a BOLD coffee to match up with todays cigars , all afternoon I have some heavy duty smoking all set up, today will be a Ligero picnic , might damage some brain cells with a wee dram or three, we will see what the day brings,

our central A/C went out this past week, my wife & I were out and about and when we got home it was 80F in side and the humidity was 66% , I made a call to the Local repair shop & in less than one hour from the call he was here fixed it and gone , a small charge of $305.00 and it was Smooth sailing the rest of the evening , 305 for a fix at 10 PM , on a 17 year old unit that he installed , doing the regular maintence on the a/c & furness , I think we got off OK, at lest I didnt need to listen to the boss complain about how hot is was inside , it was 82 outside with 75% humidity , just down right uncomfortable , so the 305 went to a good cause, MY MENTAL HEALTH hahaha well worth it , not listening to her complain
looks like next year we will be replacing the entire heating/cooling /hot water systems as everything is breaking down & replacement is a better option than repair ..... and the warrentee is nice thing to have , this will be the last replacement unit we should ever need , as our next MOVE will be to a nursing home or the cemetery
yes we are that old, the youngest grandson will be 19 !

I think I need to get out to the Qtr.deck and fore up a cigar sip some coffee and maybe a wee dram to set the tone of the day,,,, Enjoy, Vince

Yep life moves fast. The kids I coached in little league now have kids of their own finishing up with little league. My youngest grandson is in high school and I have a step great granddaughter. Love stick shift, but I'm surprised they still make them. Just got back from New Hampshire's White Mountains and I'm going to head out to look at the garden and see if there's some corn for tonight's dinner. Pretty hot here, loved smoking a cigar on the cool deck every night in New Hampshire.

Good morning it is Sunday 9/4/16 the Labor day weekend, Ahhh Labor day the end of the summer festivities and the start of the fall festivities, seasons change but the good times keep rolling... a nice day here in da burgh , the a/c has been off most of the week , the doors and windows open , this is MY time of the year, no furnace , no a/c , ,, I love it .
retirement is doing wonders for my life at home, ,,,,,, I need to get out of the house asap hahahaha , I have started to cut back on the scotch and cigars , it was getting out of hand, not that I was not having a great time but I need to pace myself, I was digging into the reallllllly good stuff , when I could have had a yard gar, I was pulling out the Partagas series D #4 and ISOM monte #2's , dammm I was 3/4 into a bottle & had 6 or 7 cigars all ready , by then I could have had a marsh wheeling or a dutch masters, I dont think I could have told the difference.... and the whisky of choice ,,,, dammmm I pulled the cork on some 18 YO Laphroaig , when I could have just had the 10 YO, I dont remember if it was worth the price or not , GOT to learn to pace myself.....

breakfast this morning was a Breakfast on a bun, toasted english muffin ,swiss, bacon, tomato, egg & spicy brown mustard. the coffee was from Panama , I am now working on a pot of columbian , the Sunday kona is still working, & as soon as it is done I will be firing up a Don Carlos #3 , sittingon the back deck watching the traffic go by, and there is a ton of it this weekend, the Grange fair ended last night & now all the locals are cleaning up the fair grounds and removing all the displays and equipment that was offered for sale at the event, the fair grounds are just a few miles from me , I could hear the cars , trucks and tractors from the demo derby , and pulling contests, , and when the wind was just right you could get a slight aroma of all the food vender's and the barns , I might go over next year, I just didnt get there this year,,, busy doing NOTHING,,,,
I did wash down the front of the house , the fire dept. used to come round every spring , and with all the local fire fighters they would give the house a wash down for 50 bucks, a fund raiser for the Vol. dept. but they stopped doing it , I dont know why, no man power not enough people paying, combo of both , insurance , who knows, I am not a fire fighter .so I dont go to the meetings to find out why they stopped. the outside of the windows did get a quick wipe down , now I need to get the inside of them,,,, maybe this week, or next hahaha

went out for sushi last night with the wife, had a great server, our oldest grandson, left him a nice tip & then we went for a cigar ride and a stop at charBuck$, the pumpkin BS has started , and my wife was all in ,,,,I pass on flavored coffee, I want coffee with flavor , the flavor of COFFEE. I take my pumpkin in pie , at thanksgiving , I dont want pumpkin beer , candy, bread, scones, ice cream,or room fresh sprays. soup maybe , but only one time a year.
