The Walking Dead

He looks stable in next weeks preview. I can't believe Daryl split, but he was on the preview also.

Oh man, Daryl has to come back.

Tyrese looks like he could become a major player if Rick starts trusting him. Who knows if Tyrese is playing a game just to be safe.

Weren't you just hoping when the guy with Tyrese was suggesting that it would be easy to over take a "woman and a kid". Carl alone would have cleaned their clock and I was hoping they would try.

The Governor is one sick dude... period. It looks like Andrea is having serious thoughts about the Gov. This relationship could get pretty interesting.

When Rick started telling Tyresse that his group had to leave, I was waiting for Hershel to tell Rick to remember the farm and Rick trying to convince Hershel to let them stay. I bet Hershel throws it in his face next week and Rick caves in and let's them stay.

Awesome tonight! Daryl = total badassery!

Let's talk about it!

Excellent episode, wasn't it? It didn't take Daryl long to figure things out with his brother and he finally stand up to him. Next week will be interesting to see how the prison people deal with Merle, especially Glenn.

Speaking of Glenn, he sure is stepping things up.

Just when you thought Axel was going to be an integral part of the series, he gets greased.

I was surprised that we didn't hear anything from Tyresse's group last night.

Best zombie kill of the night was when Daryl pumpkins the walkers head with the rear hatch door of the car.

I thought Tyresse would be back this episode. As far as Merle goes, I think Daryl will keep him in line. You are right, I wonder how Glen will handle Merle being in the prison.

Just came in from smoking my cigar. Settling into my chair now with The Walking Dead comics. Looking forward to tomorrow night!

It was filling in the loose ends and gaps. Andrea came away with less answers and more questions. Her mistrust of the Governor is growing.

Milton, the Governor's researcher, is a little weasel. I hope he gets eaten soon.

I enjoyed finding out why Michonne had the two armless zombies. Tyresse just became a huge problem for the prison group.

Best zombie kill wasn't actually a kill. It was after Andrea cut the arms off the zombie that Milton was holding down, then she curb stomped the jaw off. Yes, I'm sick enough to have cheered.

Yup, I was like "I've seen that somewhere before". The movie American History X with Edward Norton.

Wow, I really wanted to see Rick and Tyresse develope the friendship they had in the comics. I'm kinda disappointed. I suppose Andrea will reunite with the group at the end of the season. She and Rick will eventually get together if they follow the comic.

So many people are about to die. This season finally will be every bit as suspenseful as season 2. Can't wait to see if season 4 will bring Abraham.

Last night's episode. Hmmm..... Lets see.

1) happy Morgan is/was back. Hope he joins the folks in the prison and becomes a regular character.

2) little Carl is growing up (sniff, sniff)

3) Michonne is softening up.

4) Morgan's insanity brought Rick to terms with his own sanity.

5) and what gripes me about last night: the group stumbles around in circles for 8 months between Hershel's farm and the prison, yet Rick goes straight to his home town (a day drive at that). So while a deputy before SHTF, Rick didn't know about the prison or Woodbury? Give me a break.

Last night they took a breather. I am guessing that we are headed for a wild finish of the season.

A breather? Wow, I thought it was one of the best episodes they have had. The tension between Rick and the Governor was thick. You're wondering the whole time if Rick is buying into the Governor's charm and BS. I just wanted Rick to shoot him in the head.

The conversation between Hershel and Milton humanized the prison group for Milton and it opened his eyes a little that the governor isn't exactly as honorable as he thought. It was very entertaining watching Daryl and Martinez bond over a walker-killing contest and then smoke a cigarette outside.

Andrea is continuing to see the Governor for who he is, a weasel. next weeks preview was pretty telling in that she sees it as her responsibility to kill the Gov.

Best zombie kill, Martinez baseball bat to the head, smashing it against the grain silo. Nice blood splatter!

An episode based on a conversation that wasn't going anywhere kind of turned me off. For me the best part was when Daryl called Martunez a douchebag.

I did love how both the Governor and Rick both lied to their groups. The last three episodes will be pretty intense, as Kevin said.

I wonder if Hershel and Carol will make it the next season (I doubt it) and I also wonder if Morgan will join the group (I think he will).

If they're wearing a red shirt, they have about an 80% chance of getting killed in that episode... oh, wait, that was Star Trek. <doh>

I can see what you mean but this episode brought Rick further back from the nut job zone he was in. His best line was when he let Michonne drive "because I see things".

But the conversation did go somewhere, just not between the two of them. It was what they said when they got back to their respective groups that told the story. More importantly than the conversation between Rick and the Gov was what was happening outside that fascinated me. The conversation between Hershel and Milton, the interaction between Martinez and Daryl and Andrea asking about Maggie was the real meat of that whole time there. It solidified their own positions and helped create some doubt within the Governors leadership. For the prison group to be successful in an attack, they need some cooperation from the Woodbury.

Total snoozer for me - the meeting with Rick and the Governor was way too long - it took them an hour and could have done the same in a few minutes.

Both the Governor and Rick have lied to their respective groups ever since we have known them, so to me it's not much of a revelation - just more of the same.

Looking forward to the last episodes of the season.
